has anyone on here gone to the wiscosnin state fair?
we went yesterday....my first time, fun, fun FUN!

I miss going to the Wisconsin State Fair, I also miss Summerfest! Lived in Door County Wisconsin long ago (21 years now) but used to try and make it up during the summer for one or the other. You made me a little envious!

Didn't make it this year -- (tomorrow's trip drained the bank account) . We will be sure to return next summer!

We went last weekend. Had a great time!

This year we got there around 9:30am. That was perfect, as the crowd was really changing around 5:00 when we left. It was packed by 1:00.

Cream puffs - yum! Chocolate milk - yum!

It's funny...when State Fair is over, my head thinks summer is over too. So now I'm depressed.

Haven't missed a year in over 35 years! Even though we live in Illinois, the WI state fair is much closer to us.

I thought the prices took a huge leap this year on a lot of items. The cream puffs went up to $2.75 each, which is almost a dollar more than last year. Of course that didn't stop me from eating one, which is why I am eating low-carb Special K for breakfast this morning.

I really like the new exhibit hall, but I was sad that they tore down most of the International Bazaar and a few other areas to make way for a new beer stand.

Did anyone buy any of the new gadgets? I saw a lot of people with those mops walking around.

I'll agree with you on the cream puffs! I didn't go to the fair but my inlaws brought back some cream puffs on Saturday! Yummy!

My family went last Wednesday, and it was fun, but very cold (well, for August) and rainy.

I liked the swimming pig race.

We went twice this year and had a great time. We went this past Sunday, the last day and they had Llamas in the barns. Llamas! Who woulda thought???

I love Herb's milk house, but I don't understand why everyone doesn't use the coupon. Can't read? Weird.

Anyway, don't get those 'microfiber' cleaning mops. The don't work. If you don't believe me you can borrow the one gathering dust in my closet. Heck, you can have it.

Did any of you who go every year catch the Kids From Wisconsin? We watch them every year & the set we saw, which included a some great songs & dancing from "The Music Man", was their best in the 30 plus years DW & I have been to the fair. The only thing I didn't like this year is they no longer have the product tasting in the Wis. Products Pavilion. Used to stop in there several times a day!

We like to catch a little of the Kids every year. They are good!

Last year we caught a little less of them than normal because they had that fruit fly problem and they were ALL over. yuck!
