wireless wifi hotle rooms

i should have a laptop with us in oct. I know desert inn says they only have wireless in there lobby i have heard from a friedn the one i should get the laptop from that my wifi should be able to pick it up. Has any one here been able to use it in there rooms? Or if youve been at other hotles that say they have it in there lobbys?
Im new all the way around with this laptop stuff lol so any info would be grateful

I used it at Desert Inn in February. I was using my iPod Touch. My room was above the pool, so it was close to the lobby. I believe we were in a Parlor Family Suite C1. Hope that helps!

When we were at Paradise Pier, officially they only had wifi in their public areas, but we were able to connect to the network in our 12th room floor (maybe 11th?).

But who knows what it'll be like at DI&S?

Maybe you can call to see if they have wired access? Many hotels without wifi in their rooms will include a cable that goes from the jack to your computer. It works that way at HoJo; they don't have wifi but you use their cable with your computer and you get internet connection.

hum im supose to be on 4th floor i think. its a parla spa and they say no rooms have viewing access to the fireworks only the viewing tower dose.
I asked before and they said it was in the lobby.
I hope im lucky and it reaches lol then i wont be away from here when im back at my room and stuff. heck might be able to upload some photos of us there hehe if i get the laptop this will be fun

Last year we stayed at Marriotts Residence Inn. We had wifi in our room. Too slow for DH though.

We were at DI in May and able to use laptop in our room no problems.

We were at Candy Cane Inn this week. They supposedly have wireless access throughout the property, but we were only able to get it in our room one night. The rest of the stay we had to go up to the pool area to use the laptop.

ahh well i hope desert inn isnt that bad. Im sorry you had to move to the pool area to get it to work.
Heck the way things are looking i may not be able to get the laptop just dont know but if i do i hope it works there
