I know that DCL doesn't offer wifi in the cabins, but is there wired internet?? I would assume it's high-speed and not dial-up??? :rotfl:

Thanks :)

so far, no internet access in the staterooms. I keep hoping this will change when the ships go through drydock, but it hasn't happened yet.

Maybe if enough of us put this on our comment cards it'll help speed things along ;)

Thanks for the info.... I'm kind of surprised they don't at least offer wired internet in the cabins!

They don't want you to spend time in your cabin!

They want you out there and spend, spend, spend!

Oh we'll be spending all right!! :thumbsup2 But DH may need to bring his laptop and check in at work once or twice during our trip. I guess he'll be wifi-ing it at the Cove Cafe and the Cove adults-only pool!! :teeth:

LOL I went today to make sure my phone which can be switched to wi-fi would work on the ship. So I wouldn't have to lug my laptop. YAY it does! :cool1:

WHAT???? The whole idea of a cruise is to be UNREACHABLE. Totally, completely, UNREACHABLE.

For some of us (albeit not many) cruises are actually WORK and we need to maintain contact with the outside world. :)

I think DCL plans to address this during the next drydocks for Wonder and Magic.

My first cruise was work. Got paid to be there, and the boss picked up the fare. But that was back in 1980, and that ship didn't have phones in the cabins, and of course, no internet cafe in those days.

Sorry, my mom the frequent cruiser is rubbing off on me. Her standing orders are " if I am on a cruise, don't call me. If the house burns down, I will deal with it when I get home. If anyone dies, there is nothing I can do about it, I will deal with it when I get home" and my personal favorite.."if I die on the ship, make sure they leave me on board, because I paid for all 7 days"

Wonder if that would qualify as trip interruption with travel insurance and warrant a partial refund ;)

I agree with your mom 100%!!! :thumbsup2 :lmao:

My DH, however, will need to check in with work at least once or twice. Nothing major, just a quick check of his emails, but he prefers to bring his own computer because of specific programs he has on it and might need in case he has to access something.
