We were there in January once & we get chilly easily but it still warmed up to the high 60's - we had our thin long sleeves pushed up & had abandoned the sweatshirts. We also wore jeans...got soaked on Grizzly River Run & stayed wet the whole day (yuck).

So if February WAS in our future....& it was rainy - how much does the temp dip w/ rain (typically)? Do we need jeans or would thin yoga pants be better (faster drying?) ?

I know i have time....I tend to overthink. Totally cool w/ the overthinking.:rotfl:

There is no "rain" season in Sothern California. It might randomly rain a day in February, but there is no consistent days of rain. Rain does not necessarily make the day much colder down here, either.

LA weather is ridiculously unpredictable, so for February prepare for as low as 45 and as high as 85, and don't expect rain.

Grrrrr....another post said rain was typical in February! :headache: :confused3

Which just refers to the fact that it rains more in February than, say, the summer. There is still no rain season, so it is not something that you should expect.

The average rainfall for all of Anaheim in one year is 11.3 inches of rain in one year.

And Southern California rain is usually quite nice - very light rain and it doesn't make it much colder outside.

Disneyland in the rain is awesome, because locals are so scared of rain and they literally just leave or don't come to the park.

We dress in layers, and before our trip we will stop at WalMart and pick up the 99 cent ponchos (they are much more expensive at DLR). We put them if it looks cloudy. No heavy jackets are needed, just a T-shirt, and a zippered hoodie that we can wrap around our waist if we get warm.

Ok - makes sense.

Here in AZ, even tho it's HOT - the temp can drop drastically if there's enough rain. Maybe not in thse summer but enough to see a difference. So February could be 60 degrees out & drop to 30 ....THAT would mean more than layers to ME. ;)

So if SoCals temps do not drop that radically I could definately layer. We were at the beach in January - I had on a hoodie but was able to walk around barefoot - sort of balmy out. Ahhhhh....wish I was there now. :goodvibes

Thanks for the clarification. :thumbsup2

Temps stay pretty moderate all year, even tho it can be cold at DL in Jan! We went Jan of 08 and it rained both weekends that month that we went, it was cold at night both weekends and wet!!!!! This year we went in Jan again (we have a Jan bday) and it again got cold when the sun was gone but it didn't rain too much that trip. We went twice in Feb, it poured both weekends we went in Feb, we are talking drenching rain that soaks you. I wore jeans every time, they are a bit warmer and even tho they got wet I still think I was warmer in jeans that I would have been in yoga pants.

We were there this past February and it didn't rain, but it was COLD (well, cold for a SoCal native like myself). We had a great time, but I had many layers and a beanie and gloves on!

Awwww....you should have gone when we did ( Jan 10-11, 2008) - it was sunny & warm!!! :goodvibes But we were still cold....being that 60 is considered freezing in my world!!!

I started this thread bc a catalog I have had yoga pants on clearance...LOL! To buy or not to buy? :rotfl:
