Hi all,

We are planning on heading to WDW late January next year. We hope to book it this weekend as there is a special Easter saving but...

I am aware that in January only one of the water parks are open and this year it was Blizzard Beach. Do they rotate them each year so we could assume that next Jan it would be Typhoon Lagoon open?
Also, does anyone know what date in February this year Typhoon Lagoon reopened (we may come late January so as to get both parks open).

Thanks

Welcome to the DIS!

There is no rotation, but indeed TL will close first this year. So if you are going in January TL will be open and BB will be closed.

Late January will not work as far as both water parks...the second one closed usually reopens in late February.

Just a word of warning if you've never been to WDW in January: temperatures may be too cold to swim. Weather is completely unpredictable...you could have nice warm days with cool mornings, but you could also have mornings near freezing with daytime highs in the 40sF. The water is heated, but the air can be quite chilly!

Enjoy,

Bob
