I have another thread going, where I mention that we may be postponing our June trip to December, for pregnancy complications..

We currently have the HOJO booked, which seems like the BEST bet for our situation for summer, having 2 kids who will LOVE the water park...

BUT..

If you were going to stay offsite in December, when swimming isn't likely.. Would you still stay at HOJO, or is there a better winter/non pool location?

We will be walking from Hotel to Parks, so proximity is super important, followed by Hotel satisfaction...

Thanks a billion, you guys always save me! :) :love1::disrocks:

Desert Inn, right across the street, clean, simple, nice service. Their pool is plain but it's indoors. Continental breakfast (not great, but adequate for us-- cereal, milk, juice, coffee, fruit).

Best Western Park Place Inn, because it is literally right across the street, and the mini suite will give you a little extra room. Plus a free breakfast, even if it isn't that great, gives you a nice start to the day.

We've actually stayed at Hojo during June, August, September, November December and January...my kids have used the pool there all of those months!

If you're looking for a pool that is definitely going to be swimmable in December than Desert Inn and Suites is a good bet since its indoors.

I think swimming could still happen (at least our family still goes in at least once lol), but that being said I'd think about a closer hotel possibly. We will be at either BWPPI or Park Vue this Dec. we stayed at HoJo before but the walk seems sooooo long at the end of the park day lol also both of the above hotels offer hot breakfasts. If you need a bigger room you might look into a "suite" as well. We also are making a 1 night stop at the new Great Wolf Lodge and doing the water park so the basic pool is less of a big deal after that lol
