I am getting ready to book our February vacation and I keep hearing about this Winter Dreammaker package but I can't figure out how that is saving anyone money.

We are going Feb 7 - 12, 2004. This will be for me, DH and our 20 month old son. We are looking at 3 options: Pop Century, Coronado Springs and Wilderness Lodge. We will be there 6 nights but only in the park for 4 days.

Pop Century:

77/night (rack rate ) w/ 12% tax = $431.20 for 5 nights
4 day Park Hopper ($204.48) * 2 = $408.96
Total = $840.16

The package quote I got was for $1052.20. Even with the rack rate and the full price of the length of stay passes for 6 day ($299.27/piece) as compared to my 4 days passes I only come up with $1029.74. How is the $1052 a deal?

I also had quotes of $1370.90 for a moderate and $1862.90 for a woods view at the WL. Where is the deal?

If you're just getting quotes now than it's not for the Winter Dream Maker package because that had to be booked a while ago (like by 9/22? can't quite remember). I think with the package they do not give you the advanced purchase discount on the UPH which doesn't make sense when you have to pay for your package ahead but they would probably make up the difference. The only "deal" they have now is the VISA kids stay free but you don't need that.

I did book a Winter Dream Maker for myself, DH, another adult(so I have to pay an extra adult charge), DD(4 1/2), DS (turns 3 on trip so no ticket for him) and DD (nearly 1). We are staying lagoon view concierge at the Poly. While we won't get full use out of the UPH passes the room discount was so great that the price difference between this package and rack rate at the Poly is just over $100.

I'm really hoping they offer an AP discount that I can get. I have 4 days left on old passes and even though I have to purchase 1 AP the savings are so great over the UPH that I can get two rooms(no extra adult charge) for just about $200 more.

Have you tried a AAA discount?

I booked a winter Dream Maker starting December 7.We saved alot.It worked out to be the same as it would be for an AP discount plus the price of the UPH passes.It had to be booked by sometime in September.It isn't the same as a regular Dream Maker package.I've never booked a package before but this time it save hundreds of dollars.

Dream Maker quotes may include travel insurance for each person in your party. Be sure to ask if they're including it!

Yes the last day to book the Winter Dream Maker Package was in September. I am currently booked with the WDP at a Poly Lagoon View Room. We are staying 10 nights. We only got the UPH for my DH and DS. (I have an AP) The price was about $3300.00 without the package it would of been about $4700.00.
