Not sure if the details have been posted, but it's midnight Aug. 19th, and Mary has this info on mousesavers.com:
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Dream Maker Package:

The "lead-in" (sample) rate is for a 3-Night Value Resort package from $99 per adult, per night. That translates to $594 plus tax for a 3-night package for two adults at the All Stars, in Value season. By comparison, if you purchased the components at full price you'd pay:

3 nights All Stars at rack rate, value season = $77 x 3 = $231
2 adult 3 night/4 day Ultimate Park Hoppers @ $227 = $454
Total = $685 plus tax

So even on the lowest-end package, you'd save $91 plus tax. You can get special rates at the Moderate and Deluxe resorts, too. In fact, usually the savings are more substantial the more expensive the hotel. So this is a good deal!

(Also, if you will be staying for at least 4 nights and will be at Walt Disney World on the night of December 5, be sure to check out the "Very Merry Birthday Package" above and learn about all the great free stuff you can get in addition to the regular features of this discounted package!)

The Silver Plan can be added to this package. Standard Disney Club discounts apply for 2003 packages.

*Rates not valid 11/25/03 - 11/27/03 and 12/27/03 - 1/1/04. 3-night minimum length-of-stay required. Quoted prices are based on double occupancy at a Disney Value Resort. Number of packages available at this rate is limited. Advance reservations required. No group rates or other discounts apply. Package must be booked by 9/22/03."

Hope this helps,

Frankly, I just don't see the value in it. I don't really have the need for an UPH anyway. I'm not even sure if we will get around to fully making use of the 6 day PHP that we are purchasing for our trip. I figured that by paying rack rates at the Pop and doing the 6 day PHP passes that we will save over $190 off what the Winter Dream Maker package would cost us for 7 days. I don't see the value in the package. Mickey

I have a room only with AAA for Contemporary and cost with 5 day hoppers would be $1933 approx. 2 adults, 2 kids (5,9)

I called about the package and was quoted $1942 for Contemporary with UPH and DC discount.

I asked about the price for the Poly....only $2025!!!

For less than $100 more I'm staying at my true love resort with length of stay passes.

Now I have to get thru the next few hours while DH is on a interview (new job would mean I can add time-no more nights) for him to get home so I can tell him.

IMHO, you have to cost out what *you* do for a typical vacation. For myself, I usually go to Disney for 5 days or more. So let's compare the Magic Dreams to "rack rate" at 5 days:

Magic Dreams: (AS + 5 Night/UPH)

2 people @ $99/person = $198/night
5 days @ $198/night = $990 + tax

Rack Rate:
5 days @ AS std room ($77) = $385
2 5-day Park Hopper Plus @ $269 = $538
Total = $923 + tax

For the Magic Dreams package, I'm also paying for the UPH for the days I visit USF, Seaworld, or just shopping.

For the PHP, the days don't expire. I can save the "pluses" for the next trip in the summer when I can swim.

Another point. I still have 5 left over days that I would like to use. This would reduce my costs with the rack rate option. With the Magic Dreams package, I can't use them.

And lastly, the perks (which are *per room* per stay - not per person) don't really amount to much. For example, if I go to mini golf, I still have to pay for any other family members.

So the way I see it, rack rate *saves* me $67!!! :p

I'm not impressed with this package at all :(. Very disappointed.

7 nights in January, 2 adults, 2 children, with insurance.

ASMo - 1,825.38

Coronado - 2,057.64

WL Standard room - 2,323.08

I have ASMo booked for 69 a night including tax with a AAA discount. That is approx. $490 for 7 nights, subtract 80 for the insurance, and that means the UHP are costing $1,263 for those 7 nights. I can do much better with park hoppers. Especially considering the weather in Jan and we may not even be able to use the water parks!
