thanks for sharing! i'm glad we're going in december...and i'm totally looking forward to IASW. my DH asked about it a couple weeks before our trip last week, and he was bummed to hear that it was going to be closed...but it'll be open for our december trip

can't wait to see all the christmas holiday decorations!

cool! i'll have a few LGMHs hanging on our double stroller...and one from my hip/fanny pack! Mom of Three (who's also a DIS'er) noticed my LGMH just last week! it was nice to meet another DIS'er!

I can't wait for the holiday decorations. It feels like IASW has been closed forever. I love that ride.

I wanted to go to see the Halloween stuff at DLR, and I did, but it is and has always been the Christmas magic of DLR that I really have to immerse myself in! That has been my real goal all along, to get back there for the holidays this year...and it has alternately looked unattainable and then manageable! Today, I was thisclose to making a reservation for December, but I think I have to wait two more weeks before I make a final decision, which will be based on a couple of factors, and hopefully, rooms will still be available. Also, one of the many treats of DLR during the holidays is the carolers who appear in DL as well as in the hotels. They are especially lovely to see in the GCH lobby, where it is all comfy and cozy. Last year we saw them and it was a nice surprise, but this year, if we go when I think we would go, they would be gone by the time we arrive. We would get there Friday, December 26, and apparently, there is a good chance they stop singing immediately after Christmas is over, though DLR won't know for sure until November what the carolers' schedule is.

But even if I just go for one day, I am so excited to see DLR decked out in all its holiday splendor. Halloweentime at DLR is cool and festive, but Christmastime is truly special!

I know EXACTLY what you mean I wish we weren't in this slump right now because of the whole economy situation. I am getting diddly squat in tips right now. Thats pretty much why I don't think I can make it to her birthday. Also the fact that its sin city. How can you not spend a lot of money there Maybe she won't absolutely hate me if I drive to DL to see the decorations
