Well, I got my butt (and abs!) kicked today. What a workout!!!

And there I was, last week, walking around my house with a "I'm the queen of pilates" swagger after doing the 20 minute tape 3 or 4 times. Ha! What was I thinking today? I popped the 50 minute tape in and OH MY!!!   It was a challenge! There were several instances where I followed the instructions and got into the correct position, tried to follow through with the move and my body didn't budge! ;) (this funny sit-up type thingy that is towards the end of the tape, for anyone who's done this particular tape all the way through).

Yikes! I am going to stick with the 20 minute tape every other day and do the 50 minute one at least once a week and then work up to twice a week. I felt SO CHALLENGED and it was great! I had been feeling a bit "fluffy" earlier today, so making it all the way through the tape was a total mental boost. AND I do feel like my abs got a great workout and I think I can see a difference (maybe that's just my imagination!) ;)

I'd love to know what any Winsor Pilates tape owners think of this 50 minute program. Kamy, are you doing this one? Does it get any easier? ;) Since doing the first 20 minute session, I can see an improvement in how long I can hold my legs at a 45 degree angle during some of the moves. I know if I keep at it, I will master it, but man, it was really killer today!!

I really feel like there is hope for my stomach now! I got a bunch of fashion magazines today and I keep looking at all those low-ride pants. I can't wait to own a pair (and wear them confidently!) ;)

OH, and Target now sells belly button rings!!! :) I think it's time to update mine. I mean, if my belly is going to be getting a little more exposure, I have to make sure it's dressed up, right?

You're going to get your belly button pierced??? YIKES

Isn't it a great feeling to do a workout and not only feel challenged but not quit?

Good for you, you're doing great!

...LOL...The thought of ever doing that faded about 10 years ago...right before my DS was born. LOL

good for you TigH...!!

Awesome Karen! Good for you for trying the advanced tape! I have done it probably 3 times, not all the moves though! Some of those are not happening for me! LOL!! What I like to do now is add some of the moves I liked to the end of the other workout...just for variety!
I love Winsor Pilates...it really is a workout!!! :)

Good for you! And you WILL get those low rise pants.....:)

Kamy

Kamy you and I are on the same wavelength about these Pilates!! I have worked myself up to 3 times a week on the advanced but can't do much after the can-can. But I do try to incorporate some of the exercises into my 20 minute workout!!

I've always thought about a belly button ring - who knows maybe in time for my next WDW trip!!

I just got my Pilates tapes and did my first (the beginner) workout yesterday! I felt sooooo good afterwards! I loved it and can't wait for my daughter to take her afternoon nap so I can have another workout today! This is an exercise program I can live with!

Just ordered those tapes the other night. Not sure how many years it would take me to get beyond the beginner tape but....

Have a great day!!

No no no, I already have it pierced! I just need to upgrade my jewelry. ;) Right now it's a butterfly (that looks like it's trapped in a belly button cave, arrrrrgh!) ;)

Kamy and Crzy - you girls are tough!!!! :) I am not planning to try it again until Thursday, although I SWEAR I felt like I had a really flat stomach after I was done (looked like is another thing!) ;) I really prefer doing the pilates workout to doing regular crunches!

Well, off to do my weights now! I am going to 20 minute pilates tonight after our walk!

I had mine pierced also, hurt like crazy. It fell out one day after I got out of the shower and there was no way I was going to let anybody put it back in LOL The only reason I got it in the 1t place was to motivate me into getting in shape, but it didn't work, but you guys did (well got me started anyway)

I have a Pilates tape I bought at Target, it was only 6.99 I'm thinking about buying the Winsor CD's but hate to part with the money before vacation. Is Winsor worth the 40.00?

Thanks,
Alice

You go, my friend!!!

Pilates is GREAT for SSB for that same reason... no high impact to lower back "crunches", but still able to really work the stomach muscles and feel the results.

So very glad to hear that you are enjoying, and thriving with it!!!

Best o' luck, my belly-button-pierced friend. :)

SSB has not crossed that bridge yet... haha! ;)
