Does anyone have a list of the wines served by the glass, in the wine shop in Germany? I had a sweet riesling there that I loved, but did not write down the name. Verrrryy long name is all I remember. Thanks to you other wine afficionados!

This is the wine that my mom loves from Germany: VALCKENBERG MADONNA Liebfraumilch.

She said that it is sweet but not too sweet. I have been able to find it in some of the bigger wine stores in the my area, but I can't get it always.

The Splateze is also quite sweet but the Madonna one is definately the sweeter of the two.

The Valckenberg Gewurztraminer could be a possibility. I have had in the the German pavilion the past couple of trips. It is fairly sweet.

That's it, that's it! I remembered one word started with a G. Thank you so much!

Glad to help. Also, I have noticed there are several wine stores in my area that carry it. The prices average around $12.

Is this one of the wines that you get with the wine sampler trio at the Biergarten buffet??

I loved all three of the wines served from the dinner menu.

PiesPorter is anoter wonderful sweet German wine. German wine is my favorite for this very reason.

There were 2 families in front of me in December and they were discussing the Christmas wine, but I wasn't sure that was for me.
