Wine tasting at Jiko

But Jiko related!

I just tried to make dinner reservations at Jiko for our trip the end of October with no availability. I backtracked open reservations to June 30 with nothing after that. Did I miss an upcoming renovation? Jiko hasn’t been a hard ressie to get in the past!

OMG... I hope this "limited-time offer" won't last too long. I will eat at Jiko in about 10 days, then in October during the F&W Festival. I hope that it will be finished by then. I really love how quiet and relaxing Jiko is. This "musical dining experience" does not excite me at all.

There is some thinking on the Rumor board that this possibly might only be for a time near when the lion king movie is released.

I wouldn't worry too much. Toward the end of the linked article it states, "This limited-time prix fixe menu will be available during the dinner period at Jiko – The Cooking Place starting June 30 in addition to Jiko’s regular menu."

They might be holding off on accepting regular menu reservations until they can gauge the popularity of this dinner show.

One other food blog also said this....."This limited-time prix fixe menu will be available during the dinner period at Jiko starting June 30th, and please note that this will be in addition to Jiko’s regular menu, and not a replacement"
