Wine reccomendations for CG

SO, what is your favorite wine from CG?? I have heard they have a great wine list but last time I was there I didn't try any. Any good sweet wines??TIA

Hmmm...

This past time, I had a glass of Conundrum & my husband had a glass of Mer Soleil chardonnay. Both were excellent; I think the Conundrum was a bit sweeter (though not a dessert wine by any stretch of the imagination), but the Mer Soleil was much smoother & more well balanced.

If you would like a sweet wine that isn't thick or syrupy like an ice wine would be, you could try a Moscato d'Asti. This wine is faintly effervescent, and is very popular with non-wine drinkers, because it tastes a lot like fruit juice. Moscato Giallo or Moscato Bianco are very similar to Moscato d'Asti. I know they had a Moscato a few years back, when we were at CG.

We had Haven's merlot when we were there and loved it. It is not especially sweet, but it went with the filet wonderfully.

If you are looking for a sweet wine (dessert) they have and Abbey Reisling that is fantastic.

When in doubt..ask your server for a recommendation.
