Wine Flights @ Signature Restaurants

Would you say there are any places you think do particularly good wine flights? And do they always give you a dessert wine at the end, because I really can't stand dessert wine.

Keep in mind some of the signatures specialize in specific area wines.

California Grill - California (go figure!)
Artist Point - Northwest American - Oregon, Washington
Jiko - South Africa
The Wave - Pacific Rim - Australia, New Zealand

You might want to base your decision on that aspect of wines also.
I'm pretty sure, not positive, the restaurant will work on the no dessert wine issue and substitute another wine for you. It never hurts to ask.

Just don't confuse wine flights with wine pairings (where you may get a dessert wine paired with dessert).

With flights you usually get 3 tasting size wines of your own choosing.

As you saw from Scuppers list, Flying Fish has an excellent flight selection--I'm fond of their Port flight in particular..a 10, 20 and 30 year Port.

Biergarten also had a wine flight, when we ate there last year. I don't know, if they still do. I really enjoyed it, but I always like German wines. Unfortunately, it was the only thing I liked about Biergarten. I'll stick to the wine flights in the Germany pavilion. My DH & I have also had wine flights at Flying Fish. The wines were hit & miss. Some we really enjoyed, some we didn't care for.
