So, I have decided to adjust our Fall 2015 vacation dates to accommodate the Wine & Dine runs that weekend... I only had to move it a couple days earlier... I had a goal set of running in a Disney 1/2 marathon for my 40th birthday... This year I will be turning 39 a couple weeks after our trip, but I thought the timing was too perfect to NOT run.

The question is: Do I run in the Jingle Jungle 5K with my 16 year old son (who will be in his junior year of high school) - or - do I run the Wine & Dine 1/2 Marathon by myself?

PS -> I have never run a Disney race before, so it will be a new experience and hope to do others!

(I have been looking for a RunDisney thread or Board to post this in, but haven't been able to find one/them... Please move, Mods if necessary)

After much discussion with my family - I think we are going to go with the 5K. My son will be off to college before I now it... I can still then do the Princess 1/2 for my 40th as planned...

My next question is - has anyone run this with their children? DS12 asked if he could run it... I wasn't sure just hoe fast paced it is and what kind of stops are available a long the way if he slows down. Its more about the experience than the race time, this time around...

In the Just For Fun Section there is a section called W.I.S.H look there under Events/Competition. That's were the run info is.

As for running, don't worry at all. The 5K won't have a max pace and lots of people will be walking. You will be just fine. :-)
