As my training for wine & dine winds down (did my last long run 11 miles yesterday), I was just wondering if anyone else is running these three disney races and if so, what your training plans are? I am usually a 3x a week runner with two shorter 45 min runs and one longer one but I'm going to start adding in a 4th run/walk after the W&D half. I've never ever run back-to-back days before and I'm hoping my knees can handle it.

Here's what I was thinking (I haven't quite worked out what days I'm going to run yet, but I know that for the first 3 weeks post W&D I was going to do my back-to-back runs on middle two short run days, before moving it to a short run - long run schedule):

week 1: 0-3-2-4 (post W&D recovery)
week 2: 3.5-3-3-6
week 3: 3-3-3-7
week 4: 3-3-3-8 (first short-long back-to-back)
week 5: 3-4-3-5
week 6: 3.5-3-3-9
week 7: 3-4-3-5
week 8: 3.5-3-3-10
week 9: 3-4-3-5
week 10: 3-3-Tink

week 11: 0-3-3-6
week 12: 3.5-3.5-4-8
week 13: 3.5-3-5-10
week 14: 3-3-5-5
week 15: 3-10k-princess half

I'm not looking to PR at any of these races, just have a good time and finish uninjured. Anyone else running these three races (or similar race dates) and wanna talk about their transition training plans?

I'm doing W&D, Tink 10K and half, and Princess half.

I think your long runs look good, but running back to back halves like that for me would require higher weekly mileage. I'd think about increasing one of your mid week runs, or even just adding one mile to two of them.

I honestly have no idea about my training plan at this point, but I do know that after W&D, I'm stopping running altogether until my Achilles is back to good. I'm tired of fighting it, and I know the only way to heal is to stop. I have my eyes on a full in May, so I need to be ready. So November and most of December will be a TON of cross training - swimming, circuits, strength, biking - to keep my fitness up and then it'll be on to getting mileage back.
