Yep, I just had lunch there today. It's on the lower level of the Golden Vine Winery. Nice location, food was okay, service was very nice.
The menu is fairly limited; soup, salads, pasta and sandwiches for adults (for lunch anyway). The kids menu has a "pizza dog", pasta and a "paint your own sandwich" plate (which is really pretty dumb, there is no painting involved...it's just served on an artist's palette and you have to slop the peanut butter and jelly on the bread yourself with a regular knife...bologna and cheese is also available).
Well I DID love Avalon Cove in the days it was a Wolfgang Puck restaurant. I haven't tried it since it switched to the character meal. We also enjoyed the Golden Vine Terrace for a light lunch when it was sponsored by Mondavi, but I don't think it was even open for lunch today; the Trattoria and the Vineyard Room were it.
So I guess I'm shopping for a new favorite place for lunch at DCA now.
