I just called and made a reservation for dinner, and had asked about the WoC passes that come with it. The woman on the phone told me that yes, WoC passes are available for that restaurant and made me the reservation.

Now looking at DCA's official website, it says that having the prix fixe menu gives the WoC passes...:confused3 did I need to specify that in the reservation? Or do I just say I want the prix fixe menu when we arrive for the ADR that day? I want to make sure we get those passes!

Also, any word on how good the viewing is from the Reserved Viewing section that WCT feeds into? I tried for CCR but they were booked that whole day. Darn. Looks like the CCR WoC seating is nicer than the Reserved Viewing....thoughts? I'm a WDW CM so really have no idea what I'm doing here. :rotfl:

We're WDW vets on our first Disneyland trip and we just ate at WCT on thursday. I had made WoC dinner reservations at the 60-day mark and I believe you had to specifically request the WoC package but now I believe the policy may have changed, or at least it's different for Carthay Circle.

Anyway, the meal was good and the WoC 'fastpasses' we obtained gave us access to the preferred viewing area which is front and center. The passes (and our waiter) instructed us to arrive at 8:45pm for the 9pm show but we knew better and arrived at 8pm and got excellent spots on the stairs near the back of the preferred viewing area.

I asked a CM and was told that Carthay Circle diners have their own reserved section which is near the VIP viewing area further back. It looked like an excellent location but I wouldn't say it would have afforded us with a better view so I was very happy with our location. Again, arrive early to secure a good spot!

Hmm...wondering if I should call back then or just hope for the best when we get there on Tuesday.

Sounds like by the time we get done with dinner, we'll just head straight to the reserved seating and camp out! Maybe get some coffee and a dessert from Ghiradelli and wait for the show to start.

Thanks so much! Weird being on this coast, huh?:lmao:

Just call back. Just tell one of the disgruntled DLD agents you want to confirm you are booked for a World of Color package. They will be able to tell you if you are or not.

The WCT section is quite nice. We got front and center right at the bars. (Be sure you are facing the fun wheel as that is the true center of the show). It was amazing. We got soaking wet, but it was amazing.

When we were there, Ariel's still had a dining package. Now that they don't I wonder of the section is noticeably less crowded (since Carthay has their own). Either way you are in for a treat!

Thanks for the info everyone. We have WoC dining at Wine Country for next Saturday and have never seen W oC ...I'm super excited!

called back and they confirmed that yes it's the WoC package!:cheer2: wahoo! can't believe i can just book like that...compared to WDW when i'm booking stuff 6 months out or striking a bargain with another CM, that's insane I can book it that last-minute.

thanks for the tip on where to sit. i can't wait!

I'm glad you were able to confirm that.

I have been in the opposite situation when I took my first WDW trip 2 years ago.

"What do you mean I can't book Cinderella's Royal Table? It's a whole month away!" :rotfl:
