I am trying to weigh the pros/cons of the DDP vs. the DDE. It's hard!:scared: Anyway, I'm looking for ballpark prices of booze per glass. I saw on allears.net that they have menus, but booze isn't included. Are general per-glass prices the same throughout the World? Is there a place where I can check prices?:drinking1

As I recall, your average glass of wine was about $9. Hope that helps!

Hot topic I posted the same on another board and the opinions really vary.

First off I hate the DDP plan so I may be jaded, but hear me out.

I did the DDP before and hated having to leave almost another $20.00 for my meal. 2 Drinks for me 1 my wife usually. Drinks are usually around 6 to 7 dollars, Beer I couldnt tell you as my wife and I dont drink beer.

Last time we got the DDE, as sometimes we will just get a bottle of wine and an appetizer in Italy or The Beach Club Bar. DDP offers you 20%off for this as does the Espn Club and alot of other places. (There is a list in Disneyworld.com) However, there is a rumor of changes that is floating around that an all alcohol tab will not recieve the discount anymore. (This is not good for us aswe are at BCV and go to ESPN Club almost daily for a couple of drinks) I will say either way the DDP is the way to go for us as we don't eat as much as we should on the DDP and always leave credits. Now with the changes in the DDP its absolutly not worth it for my wife and I.

I heard the announcement about the DDE changes will be announced in Nov.
Again either way we will still get that as 3-4 meals with drinks or not with a 20% discount will pay for the card. We also go twice a year so it really is the best value for us. It basically is up to how much you eat and drink.......on my vacation I tend to throw my drinks back just a bit quicker,,,,,,so I'm hoping they leave the DDP Plan alone and don't change it.

Hope that helps a little.

There is no place with a price list for wine/beer. Here are a few examples--a draft at the Brown Derby will set you back $5.25. A bottle from $5.50 to $7.25.
At the California Grill, wine by the glass runs from from a low of $8.75 right on up to $20.00. The average seems to be about $12.50 or so.
At Olivia's a bottle of Stella will set you back $5.75. A Yuengling draft is $5.00
All of the above examples are from menus (from May) that I have at home.

Prices do vary a bit throughout WDW, but I can safely say wine by the glass and beer are "pricey".
Hope that helps??
Oh-and we have the DDE card!

Thanks for the input! I actually woke up in the middle of the night last night realizing that the DDP does NOT cover alcoholic beverages. That fact will tip the scale to the DDE. Plus, I am obviously going to return to WDW within 365 days, and my park ticket and DDE will already be paid for, from the first trip. I will await any changes to the DDE though. I don't plan to be in WDW until right after Thanksgiving, 2008.

Wondering about those DDE changes also--. Most often we'll have beer or wine with dinner, and I think the new DDE will still allow that discount. I did hear that they may do away with strictly bar tab DDE discount. I hope not though--

OOOHH NOO I hope they dont change the DDE to not include bar only tabs. My DH and I tend to enjoy a few drinks on vacations (just to deal with our 3 boys ) just as much, if not more than our food. They seem to go down faster with less effect after a day in the Florida sun. This year we did the DDP and thought it was great. Our extra bar tab-usually about $50.00- was put on our dde card. IT was great to get 20% off that tab every night. I would not do the ddp again but did really enjoy it. I think we normally would eat less TS meals. WE did save money on the DDP but again would not normally order everything that comes with it.

The glowtini set me back $9 + tip. The glass of Rosa Regale in Italy's pavillion I think was $7.
