Want to sign up for one of the above. How will they compare?
I know one is at night and the other is the butt crack of dawn.

Will there be the excitement and energy at Wine and Dine that is experienced with the large race? What kind of turn out are they expecting for Wine and Dine?

Hmmm... as the Wine and Dine is new, I don't think anyone will know what to expect until it comes. As with the Princess last year. The Princess course was changed a few times before they made a final decision. I am just wondering about the 10:30 start and if people will be able to stay awake to finish and then enjoy themselves after for the wine and dine portion of the race. Excitment and energy will mostly come from the racers and Disney Cast members. Not sure exactly if there will be enough places along this course for spactators so that maybe different than January half.
Most will be up in the air until it is experienced it in person. That is sometimes the down part of doing an inaugural race.

Until all the details are released it is hard to speculate as to the experience. Even after it is released keep in mind this is not only an inaugural event this year but most of us have never done an evening full or half marathon.

The Wine & Dine will be a much smaller event as it is a half and 5K as opposed to an entire weekend of racing. The time of year is also warmer and more humid even with the race being run at night.

If you had to choose between the two there are pro's and con's to both. The Oct event will be unique because of the time and if you like the Food & Wine festival it could be a good time to go. One the other hand the experience of so many runners doing the events in Jan combined with the better weather for running (most years of course) will probably make it feel like more of a total racing weekend experience.
