We're getting down to the wire and need to book it or lose the option. We have a party of 6, 5 of which are over 21, and we'll will be there for 10 days. Some of our ADRs that we would order wine at are:
Flying Fish, Jikos, Artist's Point, California Grill, Boma & LeCellier.

Has anyone who's participated in the Wine and Dine have feedback pro or con?

Should we go for it? :drinking1

I too was curious about the Wine and Dine.
I've never done the Wine package but have looked into it.
It costs 39.99 a night. And you get 1 bottle of wine per day.
Seems to me that is your a wine drinker, you could pick out a bottle
of wine you like at any location that's cheaper than $40 a bottle.
It sounds nice but doesn't seem worth it.

most of the wines you can get by the glass, I believe the servers are well versed in pouring the right amount - we tried to decide if it was cheaper to buy a bottle, or 4 glasses of wine ( 2 glasses each, 2 for dh, 2 for me)

Most of the wines we chose were in the $10 - $12 per glass - and the bottles were in the $40 - $48 per bottle (restaurant prices) ie 4 glasses = $40 - - we were amazed at how that worked ;)

so I am considering the wine and dine plan, but we dont usually drink a bottle of wine a night per night of our stay.. but perhaps we could then try some of the $100 bottles (which are then 2 wine credits)

I'm intrigued, I'm just not sure yet - in all the forums I've visited - I've not read any reviews of anyone that has used the wine and dine program yet!!

I wish instead of the bottle entitlement they did more wine pairings with the meal.

My DH and I are going to do this for part of our reservation in December so I am interesting to see who has done this and how well this turn out for them,

Well... doesn't seem like many have tried this yet.

My calculations are:
Out of pocket: Per glass cost is roughly $10.00, and we have 5 that would be partaking costing us $50.00.

Wine & Dine plan: Averages out to $8.00 per glass for a party of 5.

We won't be ordering wine every night at all of our ADRs. Mostly at the signature restaurants. Being there 10 days would allow us to get 2 bottles at the signature locations giving each of us 2 glasses each or options of 1 red & 1 white.

So far it looks like it would work for our party. I'd really like to hear some feedback though.

I don't know if its actually any kind of "deal" or "perk".....
What's the big advantage of it ??

Hmmmmmmm......we need more information.....:scratchin :drinking1

I wonder if you have to tip the wine price??? (dont want to start a debate, just hoping if someone pops in that has used W&D will share their experience)

I think with a large party this would work - esp if you can use it like the Dining Plan - using 2 wine credits for 2 bottles of wine!!

I have read a few posts where someone has stated they paid the tip on the wine also. And that started another tipping debate. :lmao:

I think it seems a good deal if you've got 3 or more adults in your party, and enjoy drinking fine wines. As there's only me and DH, I'm not sure I'd want half a bottle of wine every night, so would end up using a lot of 2 credit wines at signature restaurants. Then I'd probably still end up buying alcohol (cocktails etc) at other meals so it would probably work out cheaper for us to buy oop.

I have not used the wine plan, but I did do a lot of research on it while at Disney to see if it would have been worth it. The credit is for 1 bottle of wine and the most expensive bottle of wine I saw even at signature restaurants was $50 that used only 1 credit. Anything over that $50 was 2 credits, and the most expensive 2 credit bottle was $95. It would only have been worth it on about 4 bottles of wine at each location we went to because the majority of the bottles were under $40 or under $80 for the 2 credit choices. Now, they did have more expensive options, but if it was more than $95, they did not allow it on the wine plan. You do have to tip on the cost of the wine, or at least supposed to. One last final note is that if you have the DDE, you get 20% off of bottles of wine and then it becomes not worth it at all since 20% off of $50 is $40 (the cost of the plan).
