Wine and Dine 2015

Hey there, doing some pre-registration research for my husband. Where exactly will the AP early registration link be? Right now when I try to access the passholder benefit page I just get a blank screen using Chrome.

If I try using Safari I can get as far as this page but I get an error when I click on "Passholders! Enjoy early registration for runDisney events!" Help?

I say yes, worth it. It is very different than a regular park day. There are free (well, included) cookies and cocoa, additional shows, dance parties, unique characters, snow on main street, and a special parade and fireworks. It is just overall a very party/exciting vibe as opposed to a regular park day. Things are even lit up differently!

I think we are going to try and go. I've never figured I'd see the Christmas stuff since I just don't want to face Christmas crowds, but since the first night of it will coincide with our stay, I think we will take the opportunity to go.

We're definitely in for MVMCP. It was one of our first "dates" and the husband still has the picture they mail you framed in his office. Awwww.

Will be nice to go back and experience it again all these many years later. So, my current plan is:
Race Day: Park car and check into Swolphin. Walk over to EPCOT to eat and loosen up. Run Race. Party until we can't party any more. Walk back to Swolphin.
Day After Race: Sleep in as late as possible, pack stuff up in car, late lunch/early dinner somewhere fun and then on to MK for MVMCP.

I've convinced DH to go for my 30th Birthday!!! We are going to stay at Disney for 3 days then get on a Royal Caribbean Cruise!! Of course I had to promise him a trip to Spring Training for his 30th. Definitely worth the trade, I think! I just love RunDisney events! We won't be doing any parks but are thinking about the pre-race taste on Friday night and definitely MVMCP on Sunday night.

Any reviews on the pre-race taste? Anyone know if the lights will be up at Hollywood Studios yet?

Another question, am I reading it correctly that runners can get into Epcot starting at 7pm before the race? Or is that just for those that buy the spectator ticket for the finish line party?

I've gone rounds with tech because even though my AP is CLEARLY linked to my MDE account (they admit that and they can see it), I cannot get directly to the stuff by clicking "Passholders". It tells me I have to log in and link my AP to my MDE account. (We have found a work-around that gets me there in the meantime.) BUT... The very first question I was asked was "Are you using Safari?" Hate to tell you, but Safari and the Disney websites aren't the most compatible things in the world. Use Firefox or Chrome and it should be easier.

I usually use Chrome. Chrome gives me a blank page when I try to click on the passholder section.

I have no clue. I just know that they said Safari doesn't always play nice. When I called yesterday (this has been an ongoing thing with my account), she said they were "doing tweaks" to the sites and IT so maybe that was the issue. I doubt it in my case since the lack of linkage isn't new, but maybe that's why the blank page now?

This will be a park-less trip for me too. Haven't done the pre-race taste and I'm trying to work a way to doing MVMCP. It is a grand time. :santa::santa::santa:

Runners have to be at the starting area at WWoS no later than 8pm, so that would be for folks who just purchased tickets to the finish line party, not us runners. But it is an incentive (at least for me) to get the lead out. The quicker I get to Epcot, the more I can party!!!:dogdance:

What are everyone's thoughts on the Pre-Race Taste? I've never done it and would like to know if it's worth $79?

It's been almost a year since I have participated in early registration for RunDisney, I qualify under both AP holder and DVC member. I have been checking both perk pages and though it shows RUnDisney early registration as a perk there is no link there yet. Will the link show up at 11AM CST (Noon EST), or will someone post it?

I have issues with Chrome and the Disney sites. I am a Mac user and have found they do work in Safari. For Chrome try an incognito window. That normally works for me!

My primary browser is FireFox, followed by Chrome when I need a back up. Disney is about the only site I use Internet Explorer for anymore.

Good luck to everybody registering early. Wish I were, but planning on being at my computer keyboard when regular registration opens.
