Windwood Bay?

Anyone ever stay here?

Any comments on amenities/restaurants/shopping in this area of Davenport?

We've never stayed anywhere but in the developments right off the 27 or the 192, but we might be for Christmas this year

We've got a couple of *serious* golfers with us, and Champion's Gate (?? that is a course too, right? Not just an area in Davenport? Sheesh...I know so little about golf ) is on their list to try.

Our first thought was Highland's Reserve, stayed there, loved it , but really really need 4 bathrooms/5 bedrooms...and having a hard time finding the floorplan/bedding arrangements/bathrooms ...

...And they've golfed the HR course before.

Anyway!
Any thoughts, opinions, experiences most welcome

OK, so I sent out a General Inquiry on www.fabvillas.com

That's a great site
Like that I can put in our dates, and automatically get villas with availability...as long as they keep their calendars updated! LOL! And some of the homes have a quote your stay type thing.. that works for my not-so-quick-to-calculate brain

I imagine there are other rental sites out there too with that capability... www.villadirect.com works that way too..

Any others?
And if you have info on Windwood Bay, please let me know

I have never stayed there myself, but have heard great reports about it.

Champions gate is a golf course, am I right in saying desinged by greg norman?

I believe its one of the more expensive courses to play, but hey what do I know about golf???????

Champions gate itself has a chillis restaurant, a chinese, pepperons pizza (really nice) a publix, a creperie, a 7-11 and a subway. You are not far from the 192 and of course the new applebees has opened at Berry near HR.

www.holidaylettings.co.uk also has the facility for showing you which villas are available for your dates.
