Have any of you stayed at the Windsor Hills gated community? I have been checking out videos and it looks great but would love some first hand fellow Canadian opinions.

We stayed there last year. We stayed in a condo and it was wonderful. I highly recommend it.

We loved it. We rented a 3 bedroom condo. We went in May and it was quiet. Beautiful grounds and pool. Close drive to Disney and restaurants, Publix etc.

The only "complaint" is with the pool. My children 11 and 9 when we went, could not jump in. The pool was not really deep enough and there was a ledge all around just inside the pool. They bumped their heads on the slide.
If you just want to swim, the pool is perfect - it is big.

We stayed in a 3bdrm condo at WH in December. Loved it! Great resort and very easy to get to WDW, Universal etc.

We always stay offsite in a 2bdrm condo, usually through skyauction. This time I specifically wanted to try WH even though it was going to cost about $200. more. We chose a 3 bdrm because it was only an extra $10 per night, and our daughter can be a bit of a drama queen so we wanted the kids to each have their own room. We would definitely stay at WH again, and would book through www.floridasunvacationhomes.com again as well. They had great prices, the condo was very clean, and their service was excellent.

We stayed in a townhome in Windsor Hills in 2006. It was nice, but we had a lot of problems with ants - even in the dishwasher! The owners never replied to our concerns and the management company was awful. If you rent a property with Villa Direct as the management company - stay away.

We are going to try it again this year, although we've decided to stay in the 3 BR condos. We got a great rate of $700 for 9 nights, taxes included.

Overall, the resort is fantastic, and I'm sure the vast majority of the owners take great care and pride in their homes. We just got the bad apple.

I would recommend WH to anyone. Just do your homework and research the reviews on the home.

We stayed in a two bdrm condo last May and loved it. It was VERY clean, everything was new and nice. Pool was a bit smaller than I was expecting, but I guess I got the perspective in the pictures wrong. The location is perfect, it is off the main drag (hwy 192) which makes it very quiet, but is still very close to everything that you need: Publix, Walgreens, Starbucks...oh, yeah and Disney too. ;) We are renting a 3 bdrm condo this year. We book through vacationcentralflorida.com and are very happy with the whole process, not to mention the prices. If you join their 'club windsor' they email you special deals for last minute rentals.

We've stayed in two different townhouses and a 6 bedroom pool home. Really like Windsor Hills and area. Since all the properties are individually owned you'll get different levels of amenities, some basic and some with everything you'd ever want and some in between. One of the town houses was very basic but clean and the other had better furnishings and electronics, free long distance, wifi etc.

Went in October and loved it! It really is '5 mnutes to Disney'. The resort is well-kept and it is just so nice to have the extra space and ammenities while on vacay and not have to eat out all the time. For us the pool was perfect because the zero entry meant my ds was safe in almost the entire pool except that one deeper part at the end.

We stayed in a 3bedroom condo: greatdisneyvacation.com
We liked it: it had lots of extra towels, sheets and pillows and was super clean when we checked in. It was the front corner of the last building in the complex. It's owned by Barry and Denise Wortman an dis also known as "Lil' Loo's Getaway". It's priced very reasonably, IMO.

We stayed in a 6 bedroom 2 years ago - loved it. But DH really hurt herself at the main pool on the slide - got a concusion! IMHO the bend in the tube is too sharp and she flipped and banged her head. There is a height limit and she passed this but still got hurt.

Website for home was floridashaven.com. It is super close to everything including the parks. Better than Windosr Palms as I have heard that it is built beside a water filter station and you can get sewage smells. Windosr Hills is much closer to 192.

We stayed in WH our last trip and enjoyed it.
We had a 3 bedrooom pool house...It was a StoryTime property, but I forget which one. We really enjoyed it. It was easy to get everywhere...parks, shopping, restaurants.
I'd recommend it! We only swam in the community pool once, as we had our own little pool. It was ok. It was pretty shallow, but it was good for the age of my kids at the time.
This trip we are staying elsewhere...my father in law books these as they book houses in Florida all the time. I believe our house this time is in Seasons?? There are more of us going this trip, so we needed at 7 bedroom home.
Enjoy!
