Windsor Hills your thoughts? as i am looking into a villa there... please share experiences u have had

Haven't stayed at Windsor Hills yet, but at the sister version Windsor Palms several times. We really like it a lot. I think the new community pool and water slide look great. Next time we look for a townhome, I think I'll try there.

Haven't stayed there yet but will be there in March and looking forward to it! There was another thread about this so I'm sure you'll get some responses. :)

I have a friend who has 3 homes over there. I saw them over this past weekend and she showed me around the community center, pool, playground, etc. All I can say is wow!!! Not only are her homes gorgeous but the ammen. of WH are awesome! You will love it. :earsboy:

glad to hear it as i will be booking our stay there instead of hotel we are geting a townhome with private pool! :)

Staying there in July 2006 and can't wait. There are a few posts from people who have stayed there recently and they were very favorable. I dont think any of us will be disappointed.

Hi, we're staying in the Windsor Hills condos. We LOVE it. The 3-bedrooms gives us lots of space, free high speed internet access, a nice pool, spa, a nicely equipped fitness center, a small pond that I jog around in the morning, a game room, etc. There are several grocery stores and restaurants nearby (and a liquor store). Disney Animal Kingdom is 5 minutes away using the Sherbeth Rd. entrance, Magic Kingdom was about 12 minutes away. It's a little difficult to get out of the entranceway onto Old Lake Wilson Road in the morning because of people trying to get to work (I think), but not too bad. We can see the MK fireworks from our screened in porch. We rented directly from the owner and really, really think we got a fantastic deal. My daughter (11) said this was the best place she's ever stayed at...and we've stayed on-site several times.

Thanks for posting about this complex. I just looked at their web site and their pool looks incredible. I punched in our dates and have already had 12 emails and 2 phone calls from owners.
Unfortunately I doubt we could afford to stay there though but it looks lovely nonetheless.
Any hints on how to rent one of these condo units cheap? I have already checked vrbo and will check vacationrentals as well.

I don't know what you mean by cheap, but when I got quotes, several were in the $600-$800/week range, and given the amenities and location of that property, plus our late-feb/early-mar dates, that seems more than fair. Expecting much less than that seems unrealistic to me.

Especially when I averaged out our nightly rate including the pool heat for the plunge pool out back (we're renting a townhouse), we'll have a 3 bdroom for about $128! That's hard to beat for all that room + amenities. :)

I agree. We had lots of $850-1000.00 quotes on 3 bedroom condos and townhomes in Windsor Hills for our TEN night stay inMay. Here's just one example: "It is arguably the best in the complex. Gound level corner unit overlooking nature area, close to pool and play ground, but away from all the foot traffic. $850 total, includes taxes and cleaning!" VRBO #49378.

I have no idea if it's a great place or not, it's just an example. We ended up "acquiring" about 5 more guests, so we are renting another pool home in Emerald Island (actually it's "the Bonita" owned by a DIS member, Isla Bonita!)

We are going to be in Windsor Hills late Feb/early March also! I can't wait! I'm thinking I may have to plan for more non park days, there's so much to do in the community!
