Does anyone know if the height restriction is 42 inches or 48 inches? I've seen both numbers listed!

The home owners association recently reduced the height requirement to 42". My sons (ages 5 and 3) were thrilled, and can't wait to go back because they can use the slide at the big pool now!

I can't recall if we stayed in Windosr Hills or Palms but if this is the enclosed tube slide, my daughter who was 8 at the time hit her head on the turn inside this slide and it almost knocked her unconscious. She has a bump on her head bigger than I have ever seen. I saw many small children come out holding their head.

When we stayed at Windsor Hills in 2007, the height requirement was 48". They were VERY strict about enforcing this rule. My one DS was barely under the height requirement and was not allowed on. This led to many tears as his taller twin brother was allowed to use the slide.

Sorry to hijack, but wondering if anyone can tell me how late in the evening the pool at WH stays open...?

Any information you need can be found there, it is the official Windsor Hills site by the Windsor Hills Administration.

Hope that is helpful.

We stayed at WH last March. The height was posted at 48 inches, sounds like they might have changed it.

Here is the funny... my twin six year old boys could not use the slide at WH but could ride MOUNT EVEREST at AK!!!!!!!

Dh and I thought it was hilarious. Boys were not amused!

My kids were not very happy about how early the pool closed this past June. I believe on many nights it closed around 8:00p.m.(and definitely by 9) Also, my oldest has always used the slide during our WH stays, but he says that the slide is somehow rough and actually hurts. Not sure what he means by this though?

Anyway, we love WH, but we would really love a smoother slide that stays open later!(says my kids..lol)

Just thought I'd chime in. My ds also hit his head on that slide and did not want to go on it again.

Do you need to position your body a certain way to avoid hitting your head? I just want to prepare my 5 year old who can't wait to go down it? Maybe, I should go first and hit my head. LOL.

This is the OP here. We did go last Sept and the height limit was 42 inches. My DD who just turned 6 went down dozens of time and never once hit her head. In fact, she seemed to slow down to the point she had to push to get out of the slide. I went down the slide and it kind of shot me out pretty quick, so I think it might have to do with how much you weigh.

They also let my 3 year old (who was only 40 inches) go on my DH's lap.. However, I don't think they were supposed to allow that! I wouldn't count on that, I think it is dependent on the lifeguard's discretion.

I was hoping to hear that they had worked out some of the kinks in the waterslide. It does hurt your back where the seams are connecting the sections.
