Windsor Hills Townhouse for $199 a week!!

I just got an email from the Windsor Hills Club, saying there is a Townhouse, also two 3 Bedroom Condos and two 2 Bedroom Condos for next week - $199 for the week!!! Wow how I wish we were coming when they are available!! That's a great price, but we'll be there in December! Wanted to post it here in case anyone is looking for last minute savings!! That's $28 a night for 2 or 3 bedrooms, full kitchen, that's the best price I have seen at Windsor Hills.

i go to http://www.windsorhillsclub.com and click on any condo picture, it then leads you to a site where you can see all the condos that are at $199 and book online. This club is a new club, a group of a bunch of owners at Windsor Hills and they send out updates about Windsor Hills and when they lower a price, and so on. You can sign up to get their emails too. It's how i booked our December week. My rate is a little higher (still good) but a condo for $28 a night is pretty great from all the research i have done. We are getting very excited about coming in 2 months, can't wait!

I just enrolled!!!!! Thanks so much. I am going to have my room at Pop Century booked and paid for in May but if I get this deal I'll cancel the first 7 days at Pop and book a stay here. I have always wanted to stay at Windsor Hills.

I can't tell you how many times I've seen links for these places from this owner/manager and every time I check for any of the dates we're going, I'm disappointed to find that the rates are always at least $699/week + taxes + cleaning fees. Of course, we are limited to going when school's out of session, so by definition, it's going to be a busier time. But, I'm always able to find what we need at a comparable place for a lower price, so I just don't see the appeal of this group of homes except, I guess, for those who can plan last minute at non-busy times and take advantage of "excess inventory".

When I looked into these properties before, it also appeared that they only book Sat to Sat stays, and as we almost always stay for about 1 1/2 weeks, that doesn't work for us either. I guess I should learn my lesson and quit looking, but I think I keep forgetting why it doesn't work for us and get frustrated at myself at being "sucked in" time after time!

Hope that the deal really does exist though, and that it helps someone else!

It only appears that they are Sat-Sat. We are going over Thankgsiving for 10 days & we e-mailed and asked. We got the Magic Palace no problem for all 10 days. I've stayed at multiple houses in Orlando & I always e-mail the owners and asked for what I wanted. I've gotten prices knocked down, I've gotten pool heat thrown in for free, I've gotten 10 days instead of 7. There is a lot of competition so they are willing to help you out to get you into their house.

It never hurts to ask, right? We leave in 5 weeks to stay at Windsor Hills. I've got pre-trippie going which once it turns into a real TR will tell all the details of Windsor Hills. I know it's fairly often discussed over here.

This specific group does only rent Sat - Sat, and they do add on a cleaning fee. If I could have been flexible, I would have gotten my 5 nights (or 7 really, I just would only be using 5) for $347 in a 3 bedroom condo - this is only $70 per night, which is great. The "regular" price for this time of year is only $100 more pre week, so at $450 for a week in a large condo, still a good price (if you stay for 7 days, still under $70/night).

I did use the links on his site to find other Windsor Hills owners, and put a posting asking for my dates and see what offers I got. I got about 30 offers with availability for my dates (Oct. 24 - Oct. 29) ranging in price from $400 - $800, including taxes and fees.

So, for me, it still works out to be a great deal for a 3 bedroom condo, with all the features offered, for less than $100 per night incl. taxes. On this trip we'll only have 3 Disney days, so otherwise we can relax, have plenty of space, and ejoy the playground and pool on the grounds.

If you travel off season, and are happy staying offsite, this seems great. I'll be looking into it for future trips when I don't use DVC.
