Windsor Hills - specific questions/recommendations

Hi Disers!

We usually stay in a hotel but are looking at Windsor Hills for this trip. As the options are overwhelming, I would greatly appreciate any advice and specific recommendations you can offer from recent stays!

I'm leaning towards a 3br townhome since there will only be 5 of us, but would consider a villa if the price was right.

Also, any experience with this specific property??

We stay in Windsor Hills quite regularly and love it. There are a lot of options as you pointed out. The townhouses are nice but keep in mind that they have a very small pool and no spa or games room. You might consider sending an inquiry through www.windsorhillsofficialrentals.com. That is a site where you can connect with owners at the resort.

Windsor Hills is great. The location can't be beat and the amenities are awesome (pool, playground, etc). I have stayed there several times and rented from the 2 sites below. I highly recommend both. If you can swing the houses over the town homes, I would suggest the upgrade. The pools in the houses are significantly bigger and have hot tubs.

Thanks for the quick replies! We'll have 4 adults and 1 4-year-old, so I'm thinking the small pool will be sufficient for her. But, I will definitely check out the larger homes as well. I have never booked a vacation rental before so I really want to be sure I'm booking through a reputable source (preferably paying by credit card) to avoid any potential for fraud. Recommendations from my trusted disers are so appreciated!

I agree with others that if it's something you can manage with cost, the houses are nicer than the town homes although we've certainly stayed in both and both are nice. We've usually rented through VRBO and always had good luck. I do typically try to choose a rental that does have a reasonable number of reviews and look for ones that are recent reviews. I also typically find at least a few properties that I'm interested in and then send out inquiries to all of them. It's important to me that the owner responds quickly and provides good information to the questions I ask. Be sure you are aware if there are any extra fees that aren't clearly disclosed. Also ask about pool and spa heat if you are in a property with a pool and/or spa and at a time of year that you might want the pool heated. Sometimes that's included and sometimes it's not.

We've had very good luck with rentals in Windsor Hills and the location is great.
