Windsor Hills snack/drink bar?

We haven't been to WH since last October, and I remember reading something on here about them getting a tiki bar of some sort. Could someone tell me about this please?

We were at WH last month.

To call it a "Tiki Bar" is a stretch. When I think of a Tiki bar, I think of a stand-alone hut with at least one open wall and some limited amount of seating at the bar. And such a Tiki bar would allow you to order mixed drinks, exotic drinks and beer/wine; perhaps with a limited menu of food items.

This is not the case at WH. It is located in the store, not by the pool. You have to go through the pool security gate to go between the WH "Tiki bar" and the pool. It is a counter located on the front side of the store. It offers a few types of beer and wine, hot dogs and nachos (I think). No seating. It more closely resembles a 7-11 counter that serves beer and wine.

It wasn't in operation while we were there, but there was a small bar/cart that could possibly be moved into the pool area. this was tucked away in a corner of the seating area between the store and the movie room, still outside the pool area. The sort of thing that might be rented for a special event, but is closer to what I think of as a Tiki Bar:

As it ends up, it is a pool bar rather than a tiki bar due some legislative changes it had to be moved in that direction. Guests order in the store and then can sit in the covered bar area and their food can be brought to them by the staff in the store. They can also order wine and beer and take it to the bar area or pool deck. The covered bar area is right outside the pool area and you can see it in the picture above also available on www.windsorhillsmaster.com under the sundry store area as well as multiple pictures. Light meals and sandwiches are served and food is served daily, noon until 6 pm, at the present time. This can all change as it is still evolving.

We were there and enjoyed some snacks in the bar area. There is a big screen television there as well. A nice comfy area and will be great if it rains, a covered area to enjoy your meal or drinks.

The Caribbean type bar counter will be used for special events and the resort does host special celebrations and festivities around the pool.

A great addition even though it couldn't end up to be the typical round tiki bar!
