windsor hills pool question

Hi,
We are renting a condo at Windsor Hills this June. The pictures of the condo were nothing special (looked neat and clean, though), but it was definitely in our price range and very close to the pool. My question is this--does anyone know how crowded the shared pool gets? It looks pretty big on the pix, but the resort looks huge and I'm concerned it will be too crowded. I have a special needs child who doesn't do well in crowds, and after a few days at Disney I'm worried she'll experience this at the pool, too.

We can't wait---Windsor Hills looks fantastic!

Thanks everyone!

We were there in Sept-Oct and there was only about a dozen in the pool at any one time. The pool is huge and it felt like you had it to yourself. Most of the people in the pool homes use their own pools so it's mainly the townhouse renters that want a little extra room and the condo people who use the pool. The water slide is down on the furtherest end from the condos and a lot of kids would use that. The middle section has the zero entry area and the end closest to the condos is the deeper area but still less than 5 feet. I didn't see it crowded at all the times we used it.

It IS fantastic! I've seen the pool what I would call "populated"...but NEVER "crowded"! It's a very big spread out area, so we've always been able to find our own little area to hang out in if we wanted to. The other poster is right, most of the people in the pool homes and townhomes don't even get over there much (we're usually in our own splash pool)... and then you have to remember, most people are off at the parks on most days, so it's just not all that crowded. Maybe it will be more so in March / April... hard to say, or Easter (probably for sure)...but it's never an area full of crowds anything like you'll experience in the parks, it's more of a place to hang out, relax, and enjoy your vacation!

Thanks Sympatico and George!

George, I grew up in Elmhurst and my family is still there! It's a small world after all!

Wow that's cool! Yes, it sure is, I wonder if I know them, I went to EC (Elmhurst College) actually, I've been here for a while too and know a lot of people that live here. Did you go to York? And dare I ask..what year did you graduate? LOL (PM me if you prefer!)

No, I went to Timothy Christian but was friends with some kids from York and dated a few guys from there. I graduated in 87 (I am feeling SO old these days!). I moved to Michigan for college and stayed here--we are snowed in with a massive blizzard so I'm "dis-ing" to kill some time!
