windsor hills issues?

Hi all,
I have been looking for a condo at windsor hills and a number of people that have sent me info have warned me about owners that are not up-to-date on their "dues" and therefore, if I rent from them we will not be able to use the amenities....does anyone know anything about this? How can I be sure that we will be able to use the pool once we get there?

I wish I had a good answer for you; My best guess is just look for someone with a great reputation on here?

The person we rented our townhouse from last time called a few moments after we arrived to make sure everything was ok, even sent us a thank you after we arrived home- They were so conscientious I can't imagine them not paying their taxes...I'd recommend them if you were looking for a townhouse instead.

Wouldn't a homeowner doing that be guilty of breach of contract though?

Because this information is private with the Masters Association, it cannot be published. However, I can tell you that the www.windsorhillsbest.com website is the one that is authorized by the Windsor Hills Masters Association as the owner's website. You can check this out on the Masters website, www.windsorhillsmaster.com as well as loads of information about the resort. Here is the specific link recommending the site http://www.windsorhillsmaster.com/doku.php/amenities/recommended.

The www.windsorhillsbest.com website is administered by an owner/s of Windsor Hills, is totally non-profit, so no vested interest but of the resort. To advertise on there it is a requirement to have a letter from the Windsor Hills Master that your HOA dues is up to date. Also your ownership verification, taxes paid, etc. are checked carefully. This is also an ongoing requirement to advertise there. The owners post their personal websites so you click directly on the website. There are many very nice places on there, and increasingly more owners are joining. I would feel comfortable renting any property on that site.

Otherwise, as the previous poster has mentioned, you do get a feel for someone though through your communications with them. I always look for someone that communicates right back to me and can tell with my conversations with them that they are conscientious. Also, I see if they have lots of good rentals in place, probably means they are getting repeaters, and doing things right! Reviews are also helpful. You can check their taxes and make sure they are the owners of the property on websites that have been mentioned on here for the County in which the home is located and that can give you some peace of mind as well.
