Hello All,

We rented from Advantage Vacation Homes, and rented a house in Windsor Hills, I can't post the link as I only have 3 posts and need 10 to post. :)

It is a little late to be asking this now, but I just found this site and with so much information I guess I am looking for opinions.

Is Windsor Hills a good place to stay? There are 10 of us in the group, so we found that the price for off site was just so much better than staying on site.

Also, I factored in the additional 15/day for parking at the parks, but is there any suggestions for cutting down on that cost? Seems like a taxi would be more than 15.00. And unless there is a bus/shuttle from Windsor hills, I would guess that is my best bet.

Thanks for any insight or thoughts on this.

Windsor Hill is VERY nice. You will definitely enjoy it. It is only 3 miles from the Animal Kingdom entry gate (if you take Sherbeth).

There is no shuttle bus that I know of so renting a car or taking a taxi will be your best bet.

According to Taxi Fare Finder the price would be $23.50 one way. Your best best will probably be to rent a car.

Good luck and have a wonderful time!!

Thanks! We are actually driving, so we will have two cars there to use. So the 15/day vs 45.00 a day is a very good argument to just pay the parking and drive there. :)

Anyone have any experience with Advantage Home Rental?

Thanks.

Thanks. But at least no bad stories about them. :)

I'll bookmark that site to use in the future as well.

You made the right choice in Windsor Hills. We use VRBO. For a car rental, we always find that dollar has the best rates. Here's a link to some blog posts I wrote with other money saving tips for your trip. Enjoy.

Not sure for how long you are staying, but with an Annual Pass you get free parking plus other discounts so it may be worth getting one. When we stay for 3 weeks it certainly helps :)

We have stayed at WH a few times and are going again in October.

Hi there! We own a vacation rental townhome in Windsor Hills (Next2Disney) and LOVE vacationing there! We try to get down about 4+ times/year.

Our guests also love the amenities at Windsor Hills (Olympic size resort pool, hot tub, private movie theater, playgrounds for kids, workout facilities etc).

Check out ROVH (Rent-Orlando-Vacation-Homes.com) > Search Vacation Homes > Resort Information for a little write up about the resort.

Also, I'd recommend ROVH if you haven't already booked a vacation home: Lilo's Paradise and Pooh's Palace are great. You can also try Secret Key Cove Villa and VIP Villa.

Feel free to reach out if you need any help or have more questions about Windsor Hills!

Enjoy your vacation :thumbsup2

I stayed at WH for the first time over easter. It was great! I own DVC and really love Disney. But it was wonderful to have a full house and a private pool. The kids loved being able to swim whenever they wanted. It was so close to the parks. From now on we will be staying at WH for any longer trips. Absolutely can't wait to stay there again in April 2014!!
