We've received excellent quotes :woohoo: on two different Windsor Hills condos. The kids are drawn to this one http://www.floridasunvacationhomes.com/property_vh.asp?Rooms=3&ID=13708&AD=8/11/2008&DD=8/19/2008 because of the Stitch-themed bedroom. The only problem that I see is that we were told it's in one of the buildings farthest from the pool and clubhouse area. The second condo http://www.floridasunvacationhomes.com/property_vh.asp?Month=9&Year=2008&ID=13266&CatID= is located directly in front of the pool and clubhouse area. There is only a $76 total price difference between the two. The condo with the Stitch-themed room is $687 w/ tax for 9 nights in August 2008. The condo closest to the pool is $763 w/tax for the same number of nights in August. The price difference between the two really isn't the issue here, it's more about convenience or lack of. Since I'm not familiar with the set-up of Windsor Hills, I'm wondering if someone else with that knowledge might be able to help me out? Approximately how far is the first condo I mentioned from the pool area? Being that we are going in August, will we appreciate the convenience of the second condo more?

Thanks for any help!

Michelle

P.S. Happy Mother's Day to all the moms out there!!!:daisy:

You will love Windsor Hills! We were there last year and had a great time. We got a 3-BR townhome, and I tried to get as close to the pool complex as possible, just because we have 2 small children. Windsor Hills is a pretty large complex, and we would have gotten tired rather quickly of hauling ourselves and our pool stuff a long distance to the pool. The only drawback I can see to the condo by the pool would be the potential for noise. (We only experienced one day out of our week at the pool that was what I'd call really noisy, though.) I thought that all of the condos were near the pool--compared to the homes and townhomes--but I pulled up a resort layout that shows that the farthest condo building might be a little bit of a walk. If your building is the one I think it is, it will be right next to the pool just outside your back door. (Possible safety concern for small children?? Our sliding door to our pool in back of our townhome had a door alarm. Don't know about the condos...) Google Windsor Hills resort map--or click on an owner's website...most of them have a map of the resort layout--and you can see how far away you'd be. In short, I always go for pool proximity! ;)

We just stayed in WH in a townshouse and the clubhouse pool was great. It is a real pain to pack up a lot of stuff and haul it to the pool after a busy day. I would go for the one with the closest pool, but I understand your kids, too. Depending on their ages, having the pool close may be enough to persuade them. We booked through Florida Sun vacations and they were very good at giving us details. Check with who you are booking through and they may even give you an address so you could see exactly where the 2 locations are.

DisneyDad, go to http://www.windsorhillsrent.com/windsorhills.html and you can see a map of WH. All the condo buildings are on the NE side of the the clubhouse and pool. There's two in front and the rest are in back of those. They're not too far from the pool compared to the rest of the resort townhomes and homes. Ask the owner of MC which buildings those particular condos are in.

The condo with the stitch room is the Sonoma. I will be staying at the Sonoma in Feb. but through www.floridasunshine.com (the condo is the one on the top floor). I'd also like to know which building this is. If you call and ask them, ask them which # the Sonoma is they are numbered 1-8 on the resort map. My mom walks with a cane and I am wondering if this will be far for her to walk to the pool or if we will have to take the van. Let me know , if you find out. Thanks.
