Windsor Hills and Windsor Palms..same distance from WDW??

Since I am still stressing over a place to stay in WH, I wondered if WP might be worth looking at also. I have stayed at WH, but have never stayed at WP. But I am always open to trying new places. The fact that it is a smaller resort and has a toddler pool seems nice. I just don't want to start looking through places and start all over with this search if it's not at least as good as WH. Do they have a website like WH where you can inquire to owners?

It would only take you 2 or 3 minutes more than Windsor Hills to get to Disney.
It's a couple of years older than WH but built by the same builder.

From our house in Windsor Palms it's about 3.5 miles to Disney. Depends on traffic, timing of the few lights in between and time of year ,but it is less than 10 minutes in most cases...Don't forget that it will also take you a few minutes to park and get to the actual gate. MK can take a while because you take a shuttle cart to the TTC and then the Monorail or Boat to the MK. We also have a time share at BWVs and it can take longer sometimes getting a bus back to the resort and stopping 4 times before you get off! We love having the house, it's so much more space and the time to get anywhere at Disney is just a few minutes.

I've stayed at WP and driven by WH and they are close together. WH seems to be the hot place to rent and the prices will reflect that.

Be very wary of deals. Just got back from WP with my son's baseball team and the units were in awful shape. The clubhouse and other amenities were wonderful, so it might just be the management company we dealth with - Villa Direct. Stay away!

Your estimate of the distance to the park entrance is right on, I don't remember Windsor Hills so I can't say how far it is, but it is somewhere nearby I know..

Shocked about the comment about VillaDirect, never had a problem with them, but my experience is with a villa aka pool home. No excuse for the cleaning, sounds like they never really came to clean it at all and that whoever owns it furnished it rather "below par" to say the least.

It is worth noting that when you rent at Villa Direct for any of their places under the "Value Villa" prices, you don't get the unit you see as the example unless it is extreme luck. When you rent the properties using the main link you actually get the one you see.

Palms owners will say Palms is best, and Hills owners will say Hills is best. Both are nearby, Hills is the newer of the two.

We have stayed a palms 2 times in a 4 bedroom pool house. It was very close to disney and we were pleased with the house. There is also a big price difference between the 2 places. If you were going to get a condo instead of a house or townhouse and use the club house pool then windsor hills has the better pool.
