I believe check is isn't until 4:00. Will they let us in the community as early as noon to just use the pool, grocery store, etc...

Anyone know how late the pool and waterslide is actually open?

Again with check out, which is an early 1000, can we head to the pool for a bit to hang after that?

Anyone know?

You can use the pool on your check out day.

Getting in early might be an issue. It depends on how you check into your unit from the company you're renting from. If you have to go to an office somewhere in the area, then they may not even open and give you your paper work until 4:00. Some of the offices are closed until checkin time. I'm sure there are people working in the back, but the front door is locked.

If it's a company that mails you your documents ahead of time, or if their front office is open earlier, then you'll be good. The first time you enter WH, you have to present your official documents at the guard house showing that you've rented a house there. They'll print up a permit which will allow you to come and go as long as your rental is good. But you have to have those docs to enter the first time.

The community pool is open until 10pm. It seems like the water slide closes early as they only open it when they have a lifeguard there so it is hit or miss.

A lot of owners have key codes on their doors so that you don't have to go to a management company to pick up the key. If that is the case, you can get in early as long as the cleaning people are done. If you have to go to a management company you might have to wait.

We stay in Windsor Hills a few times per year. Check in is always after 4 pm unless otherwise negotiated with the owner or manager. We have found that the guards allow you to enter the resort and use the facilities until the owner allows access to the house.

The same goes for checkout. You can use the resort facilities after you leave the house or condo.

When you say lifeguards are hit or miss....are there not set times for pool slide hours?

There are no set times for the pool slide. There is a gate by the stairs and they only open it when the lifeguard is there and the lifeguard only allows one child to go up the stairs at a time. That said, it seems like most times when we were there during the day, it was open. But, at night, I recall them closing it up early - as in when it started getting dark.

We didn't go to the community pool this year as we stayed in a townhouse and the kids liked our private pool. So, this is recollection from our many visits prior to this year.

Resort Pool

Pool and Hot Tub: 8 a.m. – 10 p.m. daily
Slide and Children’s Fountain: 10 a.m. – 8 p.m. April-September; 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. October-March

We were just there last week....slide just "Opened" April 1st....so we had two days with out the slide...(poor DS) LOL!!

But it was open later then 6pm....we didn't get to the pool some nights till right before six and it was open everynight till we would leave the pool which was anywhere from 7:30-8:00pm. (might depend on when it was getting dark...I know it wasn't opened after dark)

I also noticed that "dinner time" and "lunch time" was nice and calm at the pool, most families probably heading out for dinner about six or so....so it is not so busy at the slide.
