I have Vista on a Compaq Laptop. Ive had Vista since around March/April. I like the style and the look of it.. I havent had any problems as of yet -knocks on wood- but I just dont like the fact that somethings dont work with it. Like if you want to download something from the internet like a programme it never works. And if you try to open a programme, you always have to approve it. It's always "Windows is trying to open this programme: -programme name- Would you like to open thsi programme? -yes- -no-"

But other than that it looks real snazzy ;)

I think the largest amount of problems that people are having with Vista is if they are trying to use XP compatible programs with it...that's the most trouble I've heard...

My friend works for Dell (uber-nerd there)...he loves Vista so far...plus he's trying to get me a copy of Photoshop FOR FREE...heck yes...got the computer hookups there yo....lol

My brother has that problem. He has a Zen Micro, and it and it's programs are not compatible with Vista.
Which kinda sucks for him.

Argh, yes. I hate that. And what's the point of even having it? I mean, if you've double-clicked on an icon or name, chances are that it was on purpose; and if the feature is there to prevent someone undesirable from opening/installing your programs, then... well, the designers must be really dim. (Mind, I don't really think that it's for preventing real-life security breaches. The programmers can't be that stupid.) Nice screenhots, BTW. How do you get that scaled effect on your windows? And the sidebar with the clock? That looks cool, but fiddling with my settings in the control panel is just too much of a hassle. I need about three different windows open to get stuff done. :[

And my Word '07 was a pain in the butt. It took between five and ten minutes to open, and then was anything but intuitive and easy to use. I know that the Word/Office programs aren't exactly designed for the Average Joe to pick up immediately for writing fanfics and such, but this new design just bugged me. And I happen to like my fonts tiny, thank you very much. I want my fonts small and my margins narrow- is that too much to ask? Luckily, my dad got hold of Office '03 and installed that instead.

I have Vista...never had problems with it...of course we got a new computer with Vista installed...meaning everything was compatible with Vista...

The only problem is my Age of Empires games don't work on here anymore... *pouts*

Right click on the icon and goto properties and select it to run in compatibility mode with windows xp.

we checked they've sent my computer word got here in a day I'm excited
