Windows 7 Beta 1 installation - HOLY SMOKE!!!

Downloaded the beta this afternoon - took about an hour to get the 2 GB ISO. Burned it to a DVD and started the install on an old Dell Dimension 8600 I usually have configured as a server.

The install screens are much like Windows Server 2008/Windows Vista - minimal amount of questions and 20 minutes later, the install is near complete.

I think this may be the fastest Windows install I have seen since NT.

Installation start up to desktop - 22 minutes.

One new feature during the install is the option to setup a "homegroup" among your networked computers - It creates a password protected network channel for securely sharing documents, pictures, music, etc between computers.
