Just wondering if anyone had any tips for scoring a window seat at California Grill? The DH and I have an ADR there for our anniversary and we would love to have a window seat. I know it won't ruin our dinner if we don't get one, but it would be nice if we did. I wasn't sure if it's something that we need to ask for when we get there, or if there other ways to make a request. TIA!

As far as I know you can only request a window seat when you check in. They try to be very accomodating but most people want tables by the window so the wait for one can be long.

When we were there in May a couple in front of us checked in for their 7PM ADR and asked for a window table - they were told it would be an hour wait.

We asked to be seated in the wine room which is small and much more quiet -you don't have an MK view, but you still have a lovely view of the lake and downtown Orlando in the far distance.

Hope you enjoy your meal - the food is great!

We got a window seat when we ate at CG for our 10th anniversary. I forget what time our ADR was for, but we had no other plans and didn't mind a long wait. When we checked in, we asked if we could sit by the window and told them we had no problem with waiting, no matter how long the wait was (we were happy to sit at the bar until our table was ready :drinking1 :cool1: ). We were actually seated right around our ADR time and were able to see Wiahes during dessert. It was a great meal and a great evening.

Good luck and happy anniversary! :goodvibes

We ate at the California Grill twice in June, once for the fireworks and once on our last night at WDW. We requested a window table both times and did not have to wait more than 20 minutes each time. Most window tables are for 4 or fewer people. There were 3 of us. Larger parties might have difficulty.

DH and I have eaten there twice, had a window seat twice, and never requested it.

We ate there this June and also had a table seat without requesting it. This was after we turned down their offer to seat our party of 4 at the sushi bar. They offered this "table" as soon as we checked in for our 9:20 ADR. It was even suggested to me that it was one of their nicer tables:rotfl:. It's basically 4 stools in a row at the sushi bar counter, so I would decline this one if you get a similar offer. We were seated at the window seat by 9:40.:thumbsup2 Good luck, it was a great dinner!
