What kind of window blinds do you have and do you like them? I need to get some blinds for my dining room, kitchen, bathroom and bedroom. There's so many styles, colors, etc. that it's making me dizzy.

Here at the lake, I have regular mini blinds..

In my bedroom at my DD's, I have the regular mini blinds too.. They chose those cloth accordian type for the other bedrooms - which I don't care for because you have to pull them halfway up to see outside..

In the kitchen they have vertical blinds on the 2 sliding glass doors that open to the backyard - with the most beautiful pattern and colors on them that match the kitchen.. They were there (and brand new) when they bought the house in 2006..

Main floor bathroom is regular mini blinds.. (No window in the downstairs bath.)

Nothing but sheers and drapes on the large picture window in the living room..:goodvibes

In my kitchen and master bathroom I have top down/bottom up cellular shades. I have black out cellular shades in our bedroom. We have wood blinds in our tv room and DD's bedroom, regular cellular shades in the boys' bedrooms and family room in the basement. In the dining room I have the fabric/shade things that have fabric with the blind slats inside (I don't know what they are called). In our main floor family room I have a solar shade on the patio door so we can see out but it blocks the sun.

we 2 inch faux wood Bali blinds in white on all our windows. We love them! They were pretty affordable at about $55 a piece. We ordered them from www.blinds.com

Subbing.... we need blinds for our new huge kitchen window.

When we had smaller windows we used wood blinds not sure what to do with this one though.

We only have one room with blinds, and they are wooden. We just got new windows installed so I am looking for new treatments, and have decided to go with roman shades.

I have those also! I built my Boston home in 2005 and bought them for every single window and sliders. I bought them at Lowe's. They came out and measured all my windows, then I placed the order w/Lowe's and when the order arrived UPS at my new home, I called Lowe's and they came back and installed them all!

It's now been 5yrs and they look awesome! :thumbsup2

No more blinds as long as I live. I have shades or drapes. Now do I miss how you can use them, you bet. However the dust that accumulates on them? NO!

We just got 2 inch faux wood/no holes, Bali blinds installed throughout the house. They were all damaged (every slat looks worn). Well, after we complained to Lowes and brought a slat to the store, they sent out their supervisor (Lowes) who agreed the blinds were damaged. Every blind was re-ordered (21 windows).

The replacement blinds came in, installed. They are even worse than the original ones. Called Lowes and they had the Bali rep look at the ones they took down in the store and he agreed that something is wrong.

Bali is sitting on this though. They have to bring the blinds in for QC and testing. Lowes has been wonderful and has agreed to replace all the blinds even before a decision from Bali...we have decided to the the real wood since we no longer have faith in the faux.

I am so not happy with Bali either...they should have QC'd the replacement blinds thoroughly before they even left the manufacturing site.

You can get Bali blinds at Lowes as well. Lowes alternates between two brands that they always have on sale. They'll even tell you in advance when the ones you want are scheduled to go on sale.

I have them in my entire house, also in white. Lowes sends someone out to measure everything and then when they come in they come install them. If there are any problems with sizes, they fix it all for free since their contractor did the measurement.

No more blinds for me either! Maybe if I had a cleaning lady come in 3 times a week I would consider them again.

What are you trying to accomplish with the window treatments?

Decor
Privacy
Sunblockage
blackout
View out still available

That will narrow your choice.
