Loved the final thoughts, Connie! I really, really, really hope you can make it to Disney next fall too! Did you see the video of the Halloween 5K? There were many people walking, which is probably what I'll be doing because, like you, I can't get off my butt and start exercising either!!

Loved all of the family pics, Ashton is such a cutie!! He'd have a blast with all of the kids next Oct.!

Noah would be in heaven to meet Scooby Doo! How cool that Ashton got to.

Thanks for the tip on the pool, hopefully we will have time for it.

I am thinking Chloe will make it on the 42" rides and just hoping that Noah can make it on the 40" ones (I would be so sad if he can't ride Spiderman, the Simpsons, or Jimmy Neutron). I do like the way universal does the child-swap, seems like we will probably be using it on some rides.

Great wrap-up and great insight for the next trip with the family. Hope an October 2011 trip is in the cards for you!

Ashton did not know what to do when he saw Scooby Doo! he is his all time favorite character (that is who he wants to dress up as for Halloween this year; but, it looks like such a hot costume and you know we can never tell what the weather will be like. The Zoo is usually nice but hot in the sun).

I hope you guys get a chance to check out the pool! and Noah should be able to ride all the rides you mention if he is 40".

considering we did not see any at all last year! he did a great job with characters this year at Disney too!

That is SO EXCITING that October 2011 is a posibility!!! If we do make it, and lately I am thinking that we are going to do it, then how exciting for us all to get together for a DIS meet and that special 5K after all this time of chatting on the DIS! Like Wendy said, lot's of people were taking it slow in the video and walking, so I am sure we can all meet up before/after and each run/walk at our own pace!! It would be so fun for all the kids to hang out at the Halloween Party together and dance!!

Great wrap-up and final pictures. I really enjoyed all your trip report, and I think you did a remarkably good job dealing with the wide range of ages and interests. Not trying to stay together all the time really is the secret to a successful family trip! Hope you get to go back every time you want to. We are trying to figure out when we are going back and whether to plan a joint trip to WDW and Universal, or just do a shorter trip to Universal and a separate trip to Disney.

but, I would love to meet with all you guys... maybe we can come up with something the beginning of November... the above group was meeting at the mall of LA in Baton Rouge my only concern with this location is the crowd levels and it will only get worse at the holidays approach...

Ashley and I were talking about meeting at the aquarium one Saturday...

so far we have people of interest from the northshore, Denham Springs, Baton Rouge, Houma, and general New Orleans area...

would we be intersted in Lakeside Mall with the Disney store or maybe an outdoor thingy with the beautiful weather...maybe everyone give a location of thought and we can work from there...

we did have a great time! I think I could have planned better had I known my parents were joining us from the beginning (I could have made a few ADR's for them)
we like to do all six parks when we go...I just wish I would have been able to fit SeaWorld in...I think if we go in Oct it will be the first time we skip US/IOA (I'm not a haunted house fan and Ashton is to young for that) and try and add SeaWorld in to our plans or wait for the Christmas trip (that one I want to do ALL the parks! US with the Grinch is suppose to be great!)

Hi! PittypatBR, yes fall is tough--we don't have games but I dont have a free weekend until the second weekend in Nov and than it will be Christmas that will make it hard for people too! we'll get together soon...I was thinking what may be a nice idea for us with kids to be able to enjoy being with everyone is maybe finding a really nice enclosed park so we can let the kids play while we visit...

Thanks! Katie...we went the first week of Oct 2001 and we had a blast...the weather was wonderful and the park was not crowded (but, it was just after 9/11 so that may have had something to do with it).

Hi Connie!! I've been MIA here no the DIS for a few months but I'm back and caught up on your TR! I really enjoyed reading it!! We are planning on going back to WDW in OCtober 2011 as well. I'm just not sure which week yet. We had a full week off last week for Fall Beak and I'm waiting to see if we'll have that again next year and which week it will be!

We are hoping to be able to join a few fellow dissers the first weekend of Oct for the 5K marathon; I can't wait to meet so many of them. It will so much fun for the kids to finally meet up as well. But, we are waiting until Dec to make our choice...
