Check out Ebay.com and you can win a stay at WDW which includes a night in the castle. In the announcement section. unfortunately only open to .com users (no good in UK)

I won't even take the time to read it. It is so likely that that is a scam! Disney dishes out prizes, not ebay!

"Enter and you could win an amazing, one-of-a-kind trip to Disneyland® Resort or Walt Disney World® Resort, where you could spend a night in the Cinderella Castle Suite, get treated like a VIP in the Mickey Mouse Penthouse, and much more! There’ll be one Grand Prize winner every day!"

Note the phrase "COULD SPEND A NIGHT..."

Yeah, talk about sleazy marketing.

I'll tell ya what, you can rent some of my DVC points and you "could" spend a night in the Cinderella Castle Suite, meet Jon BonJovi, find a wallet with $20,000 cash, or be knighted by Queen Elizabeth. Of course, you "could" die in a horrible plane crash on the way down there. And you "could" be struck by lightning.

I'm hoping no one else registers...more chances for me to win!! :teeth:
And I do love the video with the snowman!!

It doesn't look fake to me. I have seen lots of promotions for other companies where people win trips to Disney. Alamo is an example.

Its not a scan. the original link was copy and pasted from my brower when I was on Ebay just looking at disneyana and I just noticed it under the announcements. I dont do scams! forgive me for bringing something to your attention. lol

No, it's a good thing. Apparently, some people just misunderstood.

sorry scam not scan! I wouldnt even know how to make a scam or whatever you do with one. Dont know where the 2 came from, but it was definately copy and pasted from my browser when I was on the page.

Just a shame I cant enter as I am from uk. I do occastionally buy from ebay.com. All the trips you can win in the Uk tend to be DLP which is nothing in comparision with wdw. :sad2: :dumbo:

How many points to spend a night in the Castle suite *with* Jon Bon Jovi?? :faint:

So if I am reading it right, you have to register and then either win an auction or purchase something using "Buy it now" to be entered in.

Is that right?

I agree it's probably a scam. Ebay doesn't start with www2.ebay.com. It starts as www.ebay.com. The number 2 is your first clue right there that it is fake. How sad. :guilty:

Actually, that's not the right part of the address to be looking for when scouting for phishers. It's good that you know to look, but ebay has many www servers, so www2, www3, etc. are random and you will get them quite often. What you need to look for is the ebay.com, that there is nothing between the two of them, like :

ebay2.com
ebay.2.com

Those two would be phish sites. Good eye though!

The reason it says you "could" spend a night in the castle is because they are giving away a trip every day for 10 days. That's 10 trips and each one is different. Only one offers a night in the castle, scheduled for 8/14/07 I believe.

You do not actually have to make a purchase. If you read the rules, there is an option to enter without a purchase as sweepstakes must be No Purchase Necessary.

As soon as I saw it in My eBay today I was checking it out!
