I used the Wilton brand of iron-on transfer for dark colored shirts for 48 shirts (eight kids x 6 shirts each). They looked great!!!!!! However, as soon as they got wet, they started to run and bleed. We washed them on gentle, inside out, got them out as soon as they were done, and dried them on low. They came out terrible. Some just peeled off the shirt and got mangled. Some totally washed out the writing/picture. Some started peeling even without being washed.

I spent a ton of time on these shirts and they turned out really really cute. I had SEVERAL people ask me where we got them on our trip last week.

Very very very dissapointed in the iron-ons. I would NEVER use that brand again.

I'm with you on not using wilton again thankfully i found my problems as soon as i ironed on the first one .. their directions were backwards .. AND the transfer itself never fully transfered to the shirt it was mangeled from the start .. i returned the product ( the open used pack as well as the un opened pack) as well as the destroyed t-shirt to the store and bought new paper and had no problems after that .. ( i used avery dark for the rest of the shirts) when i returned the stuff the girl at michael's told me that i was the 5th person in a week to call with complaints and returns dealing with this product.

Oh my! I can't believe they all got ruined. :scared1:

Thanks for posting this ... I will certainly stay away from the Wilton! I have had good luck with Avery so far.

You did 48 shirts!?!? That is awesome! :worship:
