Just came back from Lancaster - i stayed at a motel _Econo Lodge - would not recommend it - but i guess you get what you pay for - though it was a great location to Dutch Wonderland and the outlets BUT, my friend stayed at Willow Valley - wow that is real nice - wondering if anyone knows about getting a good rate at Willow Valley - or is it always standard - do they have discount codes? Thinking of going in the Spring perhaps!

Thanks

We stayed there a few years ago. It was very nice. It is popular place in my neighborhood.
They have all different typs of specials. The weeks the kids have off are higher.

We stayed there a few years ago. It was very nice. My kids loved the pool. If you have problems with stairs, make sure you ask for a room in the section that the front desk is in (and the pool). Also, if you like to drink, this is a "dry" hotel. No alcohol is served.

Willow Valley is very nice, and so is the Eden Resort Inn...very family oriented too. Although, since I live in Lancaster I never really stay in hotels here...but we have extended family that do. For a nice budget motel my in-laws like the Continential Inn out on Rt 30 next to Dutch Wonderland.

....wow, we stayed there MANY 'moons' ago....I don't know about any current rates or discounts, but I would DEFINITELY stay there again...:thumbsup2

We love it there too. We found our one of the ds old preschool teachers dd works in the reservation dept. there so I guess we will have an "in" so to speak if we go again. Do they list any packages etc. on their website. I know we had gotten some info a while ago, like themed week ends. Dont know if they still do this.

Yep, we stayed there. Last time was a couple years ago when we took DS to see Thomas the Tank Engine. Now he's 9 and doesn't want to go anymore. :sad1: We always had such a fun time on those trips.

Willow Valley is great. The kids loved the pool and feeding the ducks especially.

We went there two years ago, we went during one of the winter holdiays and they had some kind of special where you got food included. It was a really nice place, but we went to Great Wolf Lodge this past winter and you can't really compare the two. The Great Wolf Lodge is so much better both the indoor waterpark and the rooms, but, the price is significantly more and the food is alot.

We go there about 2X per year. We have spent the last 2 Easters at Willow Valley. They have plenty of activities for the kids and 3 indoor pools. My DD10 loves it there and DH likes it because it's not that far from home. I like it because it's only 10 minutes away from the outlets too:cool1:

We went last year and we weren't thrilled with it. The room we had was ok but very dated. The food was good. We kept hearing about all these kid activities but we went during the summer and they had hardly anything going on for our kids.

It was probably just the people that were staying there also at the same time and had nothing to do with the resort but the pool was horrendous! (I imagine it's not like this all the time) The kids were out of control, parents weren't watching them at all. These kids thought nothing about pushing down toddlers in the water, cutting the lines for the slides etc. We were really annoyed at that and only went to the pool twice the whole time because of it. (The second time was b/c we hoped it would be different)

We stayed there b/c they said they are "close to Hershey", it took us over an hour to get there which wasn't a big deal going but coming back at night on the dark roads was an adventure. :)

The employees were really nice, the food was good and reasonable, but we wouldn't stay there again.

DD and family stayed there last summer and they loved it. Their experience was that the kids loved the pool. She is pretty strict regarding behavior and I'm sure if there was anything like the above poster experienced they would have made mention of it. Sorry that happened to above poster. Grammy

Well, I would recommend the Best Western Revere Tavern and Inn. They are right in the heart of everything. I spent a weekend there in the spring for a little getaway(in my own back yard). It was very short notice. I booked online($69/night) at noon, and checked in a couple hours later. The room was very nice and clean and very quiet. Also had the free high speed internet access.

We always recommend the host. I've never actually stayed there because I live in lancaster, but the host is close to everything. Willow Valley is way more money and not as close to everything, but the rooms may be nicer I dont know. It still seems funny to me people coming to my home town to vacation.
