Hi all,
On a high note we got all the reservation we wanted. However we are a party of 8, 6 adults and two two-year-olds.When I made reservations I was told they could not guarentee we would sit together. But that if we request it our tables will possibly be moved together. I'm hoping this is true and was wondering if anyone else had any problems with seating. This is a faamily vacation ands swe really want to sit together.

I went with a family of 16 last Christmas and we ate at Crystal Palace, Biergarten, Hoop Dee Doo, Chef Mickey's and though we are were at separate tables the tables were always next to eachother- Just make sure you request again when you check in.
Enjoy:banana:

We were a party of 12 last November and were seated at the same table everywhere but Sci-Fi and Whispering Canyon Cafe. Even at those places we were at tables next to each other and could talk without disturbing others. Our other meals were at Le Cellier, Coral Reef, Chef Mickey's, Crystal Palace, 50's Prime Time, Tusker house breakfast, Cap N' Jacks at DTD. I was worried about being separated, but it worked out just fine.

oh thanks for the replys!
This is a ssurprise trip for my husband. He has COPD and had a rough winter. We were supposed to wait for 5 years to go to WDW so his grandbaby girls would be 5 and remember it. Our daughters dewcided why wait since dad had bad winter who rewally knows what anyones tomorrow holds. So He knows he and I are going, but will get the surprise of a lifetime when the girls and their families show up on the morning we leave and ask him if there is room for 6 more. Thus the need to be near each other.

I think if I were going with any 7 people I know, especially family, I'd demand to be separated at meals.:scared1:

We were a group of 8 at WDW last May.
We were seated together at a large round table for dinner at each of these:

Chef Mickey's
Crystal Palace (Mother's Day)
LTT
Whispering Canyon
'Ohana
1900 Park Fare

I had been told when I made my ADRs that we might be split up, but that never happened. **We also showed up for each ADR 15 minutes early.

We had a party of 8 in August and the only place we went to that we had 2 different tables was Le Cellier, and they were next to each other and even shared the same booth seat on one side, so really it was not separate. I knew ahead of time that each of our many reservations could not guarantee seating together but every host/ess I inquired about it too said they very very rarely have to break up large parties in such a way that is really "broken up", the rare cases they do it is typically when the customers do not want to wait for seating together.

Two incidences with larger parties. Ten people at Cape May Buffet. We had two tables but one side of both of the tables was a long bench. It actually worked out great because the opening in between the two tables allowed the people on the bench to get up and down for the buffet without disturbing everyone.

Second time was for our 20th wedding anniversary and we had our families with us for a party of twelve at LeCellier. Three tables for four right next to each other but they pushed all of them together to make one big table for us.

they just say that to cover their own backs so that if you turn up and its a really busy night and u have to split, you cant complain. but parties are rarely split, and if they are, its usually at their own request to get seated quicker

Just got back from a trip with 6 adults and 6 kids. We had a table for eight at Coral Reef with a table for four across from it. At Crystal Palace had two tables for six right next to each other, but could have fit eight people at each of those tables.

We just got back - 4 adults/4 kids ... when I made the ADRs they said "two tables" each time ... but when we got to the actual restaurant, we always were seated together. At times there were 2 tables, but they were next to each other -- seemed like we were at the same table. The only exception was Sci Fi ... we sat in 2 different cars, but were beside each other.
