Will we need Genie+ mid February?

We just got our plane tickets to come to DL Feb. 8th-14th. Sooooooo excited! Trying to get things in line now for tickets. Will we need Genie+ at that time? We usually buy our tickets from Undercovertourist for WDW. Is that the cheapest reputable place? Seems like we got DL tickets from a place that starts with an A last time we came… a good many years ago. Also, if I get tickets without Genie+, can we purchase it later? How far ahead does Disney put out their dates to reserve a park? It only goes out to Jan. 8th right now.

You can add Genie+ once you're in the park. When we went in June we were there for 5 days but only had Genie+ for 3. It's really easy to do. You can decide on a day-to-day basis if you want it or not.

Alot of people like to get their tickets from Getaway today. I've done that before, they're a good company.

Since it has been awhile since your last Disneyland visit and you are already thinking about Genie+ something to keep in mind is that Genie+ includes PhotoPass, and purchasing Genie+ is almost the exact same price as PhotoPass (I think the difference is a penny). This only matters if you are interested in pictures, which not everyone is, but PhotoPass is fantastic.

I agree to just take G+ day by day when you're there rather than buying tickets that include it in advance.

UT is a good option for DLR, as is GAT a PP mentioned. You may have purchased in the past from aRes travel, who is another good third party option. When all fees etc are considered I have found aRes to be the best deal the last few times I've purchased tickets.

Thank you! I will check them out for tickets. Also, good to know I don’t have to add it right now. I’m thinking that February is a slower time??? and maybe we won’t need it??

So, if we get it day by day, does it still include PhotoPass? I had forgotten that because it doesn’t work that way at WDW.

Yes! aRestravel. That is who we used. We will try all three and see which is cheapest. Thanks!

If you have Genie+ for the day, you have PhotoPass for that day. PhotoPass is included with Genie+, so any day you buy Genie+, you also have PhotoPass for that day as well.

Because it works differently at Disneyland than WDW, that was the exact reason I thought it was worth mentioning that Genie+ includes PhotoPass.
