Will we need a stroller for our 5yo?

Just got back a few weeks ago. We brought an umbrella stroller for DD5, just in case. We used it everyday and were thankful we brought it. Just walking from our hotel room to disney transport to the parks was too much for her and she is an active girl. Had we not brought it, we would have bought a stroller at our hotel's gift shop.

Thanks everyone!

I just got in a stroller swap on the budget board for a Mac Twin Techno. Perfect!!

We decided to rent a stroller from a company in Orlando. We rented a double stroller which folds up quite nicely. They will deliver it to the Hotel on the day we arrive and then we are suppose to leave it with baggage people on the day we leave. We will be traveling with a 8 yr, 6 yr and 2 yr old. There is a total of 6 of us traveling in a Mini Van from Southern Illinois to Florida so space is at a premium and we just didn't think we would have room to pack it. If the six year old doesn't want to ride Then it's just more space to put stuff in!

YES:) Take the stroller. A comfy umbrella one. We just got the Volo for our 5 year old. Crazy, but cheaper than renting and always available. My son is super busy but I have been advised that even he will be tired and wanting his sisters stroller. I do not want to carry them everywhere so I think we are making a good decision.

We have used a stroller for our now 7 year old on every trip! I too got in on a Mac double for our trip in May. She will do fine most of the time, we use it more at night and if she is tired and we want to go some place adult. My just turned 3 year old loves having her close by.

Last Sept. I bought a sit-n-stand, just for our WDW trip. My DD was 17 months and DS (6 at the time.) Honestly, I'm very glad we had a spot for him to sit. He didn't use it that often, but it was well worth it in my opinion, when he did. The thing I liked most about it, was at night or during really crowded times, I would just make him get in, and then I could just concentrate on navigating the crowds and know that I "had" everything. I didn't have to worry about also trying to make sure he was making it through and staying with me. There was also one night that there was a nightmare of a line waiting for the buses, and he found a way to sleep in it, and it worked out fine. There really wasn't a difference as far as the buses were concerned, between the sit n stand and the full size single stroller that I would have brought for my DD anyways, so it worked out well for us, and I plan on bringing it on our trip this year as well. If it would have been only my DS (even at 5) I highly doubt that I would have brought a stroller, but since we were bringing one anyways this worked really well for us.

Have you thought of a swap for the sit and stand?...click on the link in my Signature to see pictures and to see if your dates are available. It is a free swap after the stroller is paid for otherwise it is 20.00 for the length of stay.
