Will we need a Fantasmic package in mid December?

We are doing MGM on Tuesday, December 14th. We want to eat dinner before Fantasmic at the Prime Time Cafe, which is not offered as part of the package. However, that is the one place that DH requested to eat, since he thinks it sounds like fun.

Should we be able to get a decent seat that time of year without the package? We were thinking we would eat an early dinner and then head over to the Fantasmic theater about an 45 minutes or so before the show.

So, do you think we can show up 45 minutes early that time of year and still get a decent seat? We don't care about being front and center or anything.

We had no problems in December '03...just around the same date. We did go about an hour earlier than Fantasmic started but they never filled the place. It wasn't the best of weather, though....and maybe that's why it was so uncrowded.
