We are going down in August and originally had planned to spend a few days at a WDW hotel. We own at OLCC so are pretty use to the extra room. Do you think we will miss the space? Or is staying in WDW a pretty good trade off? We are staying a week in the WDW area.

If it were me, I would miss the timeshare. It's just me & hubby but when we have to stay in a hotel, he is always complaining about the lack of space, no place to sit & watch tv, no refrig for snacks etc.

While I love having all the room in a time share, I will take a room in WDW over the timeshare any time.

It is so much more convenient being onsite.

I think it will depend on what you do during your trip. We own at Westgate. We love the space it gives us....however, with that being said, the last several trips we have been at All Star Sports, CR and the Poly. Frankly I didn't miss the space because we were always at the park.

When we go to the time share, it is usually with my ILs and there are 1-2 days where DH and FIL go golfing. MIL, the kids & I stay and swim, go shopping, or whatever. The time share does make it a LOT easier to put the kids down for a nap, however.

We love staying on property now as well so we plan on splitting our stays.

I hope this helps.

i would miss the time share but it depends are you staying at a hotel, i stayed onsite at a villa that was nice and roomy, but a room does not compare to a timeshare ever--
have fun you'll still have a ball

Once you've stayed in a 12-1800 square foot condo, it's rough going back to a hotel, but I'd do it to stay inside Disney. :)

depends upon you - I like both.

staying onsite this year - with all the extra - free transportation, free E-night (magic hours), all the new stuff -

I don't fly - but this year I am flying - hey if WDW is paying for transportation from the airport to WDW - why not?

Of course on WDW property I am very happy with a studio (DVC member) - but off site I want more!!!!
