We have a ADR for donald breakfastosaurus at 8.10am on May 16th. AK opens 9.00am that day, So I am hoping to be done by rope dope. Since its a buffet, I figure it should be pretty fast right? How fast are they at seating, and bringing drinks/the bill ect.? Do you think we will be able to make rope drop or not? Thanks!

You should be fine. We had an 8:05 seating and waited 10-15 minutes for rope drop. We were able to see all the characters and eat in plenty of time. I would suggest getting to the restaurant a few minutes before your ADR so you are seated promptly. BTW- we love Donald's!

TO be honest if you strive for it you should make it. Unless something unforseen happens. I don't like to rush and I enjoy the character interaction. We usually spend about an hour at Donald's then we walk onto Dinosaur,Primevil whirl and the safari all pretty quickly.

Excuse me but what is "rope drop"?:confused3

Thats when the park opens. Its called that because they let you through the ticket machines a few minutes early and then hold the crowd back with ropes, until its time to officially open when they drop the rope.

The sooner you get to AK, the closer you are seated to where the characters enter the area. We didn't stay very long. I've learned we just don't do character breakfasts anymore first thing in the morning.

Same here! Since it's a buffet, you can pace yourself however you'd like.

We were there last July and had an ADR before AK opened. We were there in time to make the appt but the CMs would not let us pass the rope. I asked several and was told I had to wait. We sat thru the whole mini parade and then went to the resturant only to find we had missed our ADR. We waited about 30 minutes and they squeezed us in but were not pleasant about it. On a bright note we loved it at Breakfastosaurus and rebooked this year. But later after the rope drop.
