Will we make it out in time for Illuminations?

I need some opinions from everyone!

We have a 7:25 dinner reservation @ Le Cellier on 9/21. I originally tried to get a much earlier dinner so we could head over to DHS afterwards for EMH to no avail. But, very glad we were able to get this reservation, there are 8 of us!! So now, I'm trying to see if we can catch Illuminations that night instead. There was another night in our trip that we were going to see Illuminations but now we decided to go to Cirque so I'm wondering if anyone knows if we'll be able to be finished with dinner in time to get outside for Illuminations @ 9pm after Le Cellier or would that really be pushing it? We've never eaten there so I just have no idea!

TIA for any help! :goodvibes

With 8 people, it might be pushing it. If you are ordering apps, definitely pushing it.
There have been a lot of reports of long wait times even with ADR's at le cellier.
Probably doable though.

If you have a bit of a wait to get in, the people in your group who want to see it can skip the apps and have their desserts put in to go boxes. Eat your desserts outside while you watch the show.
If the timing looks good as you are into dinner, just sit back and relax and enjoy your meal.

There is always the option of everyone excusing themselves to go potty at 8:59...lol.

I wouldn't count on it. I find that no matter what time I make a reservation for at Le Cellier, I'm always waiting a 15-30 past my ADR time for a table. With a party of 8, I'd plan on not being out on time for Illuminations, and if you do make it, it will be a bonus :)

My husband and I went there a few months ago, and we were in a similar situation. We asked the server if we could step outside to watch illuminations at around 8:50
They timed our meal perfectly. we had our apps, and when we returned at 9:10 they served us our entrees. You could probably do something similar. Our reservations were a little later, I want to say around 8? but it worked well for us

Last year we had 6:30pm ressie for 4. We were seated over 30 mins late...closer to 40 min. We did not get out of LeCellier until 9:30pm. Good Luck and I hope you are able to see Illuminations, it's awesome.

Thank you so much for the tips, everyone!!

I think we'll just keep the ressie & hope for the best! Maybe we'll catch Illuminations if they let us go outside for a bit. I really love that plan if they'll let us do it ~ especially if they seat us late!!

1) You don't get a good view from there.
2) You are low and in the back.
3) You would have to walk all the way to the front of the Canada walkway.
4) Then, you can't really see due to the trees.
5) You would have to walk either to the left or to the right.
6) And, normally they don't let you leave.

Well, shoot! That doesn't sound very exciting at all! Maybe we'll have to see Illuminations another night...or should we go for lunch at Le Cellier instead of dinner? We have the option of joining some local friends with a large ressie that same day @ 3pm...I really would rather have dinner there though. The menu has so many more choices & we have lots of different tastes in our group! What do you guys think?
